    A body Hubs

Thank you , I used a hammer on one and after seeing how important they are , I used a press on the other lol. Would you be interested in selling a pair to me?

    A body Hubs

I thought I saw you write it then I didn't see it lol. I was second guessing what I did , went out to my garage and test fit my old studs in and they are so tight. Had me nervous for a second lol. Thank you anyway man!!

    A body Hubs

Well , I supposedly messed these up because i pressed the studs out without removing the wedge first.

    A body Hubs

I'm putting new front rotors , Studs , bearings etc. on my dart. (Front end from 1970 Duster) It seems like I can't order new hubs and will have to reuse my old ones. Can anyone confirm that they don't make new ones and does anyone have a set to sell? Thank you in advance.

    340 Steel Crank

I'm hearing a lot of that. Unless I'm looking to spend a lot more money , I think the factory forged will be fine for my application.

    340 Steel Crank

As far as heads , I have out of the box Eddys on my current 340. Is there something else that would give a significant boost out of the box , unless its leaps and bounds ahead of what I currently have , I'll probably just use my current top end. Forged pistons are on my radar as well.

    340 Steel Crank

So I ended up buying a virgin 340 Forged crank for $200. Looking to build a .060 11/1 street car motor that can hold its own against some of the new stuff lol. Hopefully a 55 year old crank can hold up. lol

    340 Steel Crank

So with everything being said , Stock 340 steel crank , .060 over , Going to have Eddys for heads , Victor intake , 750 QF carb , what do you guys suggest piston/rods setup for my application? I want a very strong bottom end that's not afraid to rev.

    340 Steel Crank

Nitrous would never be an option But Just asking because I have a chance to buy these pistons cheap but was just taking a chance. Unfortunately they aren't getting the reviews I was looking for.

    340 Steel Crank

I'm looking at Keith Black Hypereutectic pistons. Anyone know if these are a good option? Street driven looking for a 10.5/1 street/strip kind of build. Part # KB243-.060. Also Aluminum heads, aftermarket rods if they are reasonable.

    340 Steel Crank

Thank you to all , now while I have people's attention , any suggestions on .060 over pistons? I'm looking for a very high performance build. Aluminum heads. street strip style car. maybe 11.5/1 ? Also , would the factory rods that came out of my 1971 date coded 340 work for what I need?

    340 Steel Crank

    340 Steel Crank

Nothing wrong , was just thinking why not go new , but after seeing prices , I'm thinking I'll just go with a factory steel.

    340 Steel Crank

I found 2 cranks within 20 minutes of my house but for 200 bucks more , I thought , why not go brand new?

    340 Steel Crank

I've decided to go the 340 route and am going to go with new aftermarket rods , pistons etc. I'm just curious if anyone currently makes a new standard Steel 3.31" stroke 340 crank or am I just going to have to use the factory steel one? I've been looking but came up empty every time. Thank you

    Electric or not?

I truly appreciate your responses. Thank you for your input.
  22. 67_Slimer

    Electric or not?

Oh yeah , not to mention my 4.56 gears with a 27" tire. It revs just a little bit more than it did with the 3.23s from the factory.

    Electric or not?

I agree but also , what on my engine is "stock" Bored .030 over , higher compression , bigger cam , Different heads , headers , Intake , carb , the list goes on. If all those mods are made on the engine the engineers designed , I'm thinking it makes sense to upgrade the cooling system as well...

    Electric or not?

I appreciate everyone's input. I think I'll keep it as I currently have it set up. I guess 190 on a hot 90 degree day isn't so bad after all.

    Electric or not?

Thank you so much , I put that secondary electric fan on for traffic situations but now it hurts me when I'm driving. I guess it's pick my poison lol. Thank you again for making some really good points.

    Electric or not?

Thank you! , I call my Dart frankenstein , other than glass , nothing is original so who knows with the pulleys lol

    Electric or not?

    Electric or not?

Electric pump? I'm not putting an electric pump , Electric fan.
  29. 67_Slimer

    Electric or not?

So I know the clutch works but I'm going to try taking the electric fan off but my only question is this. I understand that the electric fan can be blocking air flow , but when it's on , wouldn't it be flowing more air than if it was removed? Also , I'm going to be looking into putting a shroud.
