    Chasing ATF leak

    Front u-joint drippy , new bushing & seal - seal is dry , seems it's leaking thru the center of the slip joint & slinging the drips off the u joint. Slip joint is solid - no thru-hole in the center. Shouldn't leak thru the center like that.

    Found a bargain on a new in the box eddy 1723 bb fuel pump. Saved $100. I don't have a bb. Have a failed eddy 1720 sb on shelf I saved for rebuild. Today I switched arms and now have one that'll work for me - I think.

    Anyone rebuilding their own fuel pumps ? Small block - Carter M 6270 or Edelbrock 1720. Cost of replacing these is a little silly.

    After (7) years of running the 340 that came in our Duster we had to remove for a rebuild due to blow by - finally found out about it's internals. Come to find out this cam is a mechanical Mopar Performance 557. This 340 was built in 1997 & ran until removed 18 months ago - that's a long time...

    Looking for a little input - to read fuel the plug needs cutting , ground strap indicates timing , and some say heat range is indicated by the threads. Here lately I have a hard on for reading plugs. Pics are of the same new plug with 75-100 miles on it. Thanks for your input. -Mike

    Thermostat housing on a LD 340 intake

    Went to put a thermostat housing on a intake I have and intake uses a 7/16 bolt . Housing I have to put on uses the smaller 3/8 bolts. Need a housing that uses the bigger bolt. Anyone point me in the right direction. Thought they were all the same but I'm wrong again. Thanks -Mike

    Single rod replacement & weight difference

    Internal balanced rotating assembly . Had to replace a single piston and thought I ought to replace everything in that cylinder . Target rod weight - 415 -164. Replacement - 429-166. Acceptable or no. Appreciate your opinions. Thanks -Mike

    Can the pinion seal in a 8 3/4 , 489 case sure-grip be replaced without going any deeper ? Everything else seems good - only complaint is its slinging a little lube making a mess underneath. Thanks. -Mike
