You can buy. The overlays from national moparts in Canada. Detroit doesn’t ship up here.

I just did mine. I cleaned and lightly scuffed and sprayed with SEM.

ps if you are going to try respraying yourself I recommend Revell Chrome Spray although I can't say how durable it is.

I don't think anyone does plastic chroming anymore. You can get repros though Dash and Gauge

Learned something today....the shoulder of the pivot goes up against the other hinge half sandwiching the two pieces with a ton of clearance....factory design as far as I can tell.

There is a ton of slop in my hood hinges so I'm going to take a shot at fixing/modifying the pivot pin. The plan is to use a door hinge pin in the small hole and to drill out the big end of the rivet to accept it then weld it up (I'm hoping it it weldable). What I am wondering is how tight to...

$700 Cdn. I'm a long way from the border. I can get one out of Calgary which is a 6 hour drive return but I haven't given up finding something local. I can probably weld repair mine but it would be a big job and I'm not 100% sure I can save it.
