Thanks, I did call TSR. I did find that I made the error of having the kickdown band snug against the drum causing very little movement. After releasing the band I found that with the .122 shim installed my endplay is .014". That is right where I want it. Thanks again Ed

Yes I do have the tailshaft installed. I did install the steel front retainer going from a 3 disc to a 5 disc unit with the matching reaction shaft support. TSR Racing provided

With no shims in the front pump area it will have .045" endplay with the weight resting on the tailshaft

Hello I use a CSR waterpump. I did block off the port into the intake and removed the thermostat. I use an electric fan with an adjustable thermostat. I thank you will need to remove the thermostat if you block off the bypass hose into the intake.

OK when you advance the timing the engine idles up that sounds normal so can you adjust the idle down from there also sounds like you have exhaust leaks I think

I would check fuel pressure and for contamination that might be keeping the needle and seat from sealing at times and check the float level

If the price is right I would want one but I need it now

you could use a vacuum gauge on each port of the pump to determine the suction side of the pump while cranking the engine over.

I called eagle crankshafts today and they said to grind off of the crankshaft counterweights to obtain a .050" clearance and do not grind on the pistons. Also they said that it would not be enough to need rebalanced but I am not sure about that so my assembly will be balanced before final assembly.
