Matt, I'd be careful storing a crankshaft laying down for any length of time. Unless it's in a controlled environment. Temperature fluctuations can cause havoc.

I had the same issues with Wheel Vintique. I removed the powder coating from behind each of the nubbs with a small (3/16") ball tip die in a grinder.

Do a compression test. Dry/wet.

Gold interior is like red paint. You'll pay at least a ⅓ more than black, white, blue,etc. You might call SMS. If they have it, don't get in any rush. Took them 1½ years to get my door panels.

I used a B&M Quicksilver. Install was simple, works great and other than the knob looks somewhat stock.

If the axle was centered, then the springs are probably HD leafs. Y'al doing ok?

SS springs are shorter than stock leafs and requires a longer front hanger to center the axle in the wheel opening.

Check the length of the front hangers. If my memory serves me correctly, ( I can't remember if it was that Barracuda or a different one)I think those are Super Stock springs. May of been the heavy duties.
