My 1971 Dart has an aftermarket floor shifter and I'd like to move it back to the column. I'm looking for the shift lever and the linkage for a 904 transmission.

I believe the previous owner had it sleeved to keep the numbers matching block.

They are actually lower than the block surface. I'm guessing they weren't pressed all the way down before it was decked and over time (probably 10,000 miles) they sank down.

Do you remember anything about the rebuild? Overbore, etc... I know it says as is but I have to ask would you be willing to sell the engine seperately?

I'm not sure how they were installed since it was done before I got the car. At least four of them have just enough difference to catch your fingernail on. I haven't measured it but it seems like they aren't lower than the block evenly all the way around. Could they be moving because of heat or...

My 340 has sleeves on all eight. The middle on both sides have leaking head gaskets. It seems the sleeves have become slightly uneven with the block. My engine guy says it either needs to be decked but the better solution is a new block. What do you all think?

Even though it's only August I'm already planning winter projects. I've been considering swapping to a roller cam in my 1970 Duster 340. I'm running X heads that are ported and polished with an old Hemi Grind Purple 284-284-60 .471 intake and .474 exhaust. What kind of gain if any could I expect?

My sons and a will be in the Duster. Planning on doing the whole thing. It ends 90 miles from home so I couldn't pass the chance up.

Does the stock overdrive have any weaknesses? I wouldn't be racing it but my 340 is a little more than mildly built.

I've got a 3.23 rear. Do you guys think the overdrive would be too much?

Checked out the Passon website today and noticed they have an overdrive A833 n sale for $750. Has anyone swapped one of these in and what difference did it make? I'm thinking it would really bring my rpm down in my 70 Duster340 at cruise and probably save some gas.
