    Towing experts?

X2 on the tires, the tires on my new camper lasted ~1.5 years and about 1,000 miles before one blew, and tore the crap out of the side of the camper. Put on the Goodyears and no problem since.

Got a new Truck (new to me)

I would step it up a notch from there and add a stock electronic distributor fired by a 4 pin hei, and a set of headers. Forget what you know about headers on A-bodies, headers on trucks are pretty easy, put the passenger one down from top, and the drivers up from the bottom, you do not even...

Summit exhaust kit Hooker Competition recommendations

I did the exact same set up as you are trying, had to buy an extra 1' of exhaust tubing from the parts store. I added header collecters to the end of the tti head pipes and connected it to the summit system, to allow clutch changes etc.

How much would you spend on it?

Neighbor down the street has one tucked away, nice car, 440 auto, he offered it to me for a good price.

Tear into it, or bolt in and go???

That is ultra high compression for a 318, I am not even sure which pistons to use to get it that high.

Tear into it, or bolt in and go???

I would try a different compression gauge.

How much would you spend on it?

Dad bought a 66 fury new, he loved that old car, hauled all us kids home from the hospital. He hung on to it forever, I even drove it some in high school.

Got a new Truck (new to me)

Those wheels need the centers bored out, they will bolt on and act like they are tight, but will not fully seat. Tried them on another truck years ago. Found out about not being fully seated the hard way when a wheel loosened up.

Got a new Truck (new to me)

Earlier rotors swap. I just sold my cousin a 85 D150 that somebody before me converted to 4.5" pattern, on the rear they used and earlier 8.75 complete rear end. Best part was it had a 440 and rmvb 727. He is pulling the engine and trans for his 69 charger, and dropping a stock 318 904 back in...

    Sizing carburetor

I would buy the street demon, I have used them since they came out they are good carbs. In fact the last one I bought, I removed an 700 DP and replaced it with the 625 street demon on my 340 Duster. I am running about the same combo as you, with a little more cam and the same gears, but a manual...

Not a fan of Electric-Vehicles BUT...

The 6 is now the new performance engine, its been out for a couple years now and tested in the Wagoneer $$$$$ Hemis are just bread and butter engines in trucks. 5.7 are ok, and 6.4 are gas sucking pigs.

school me on a 5.9 magnum motor.

I built a 5.9 with Edelbrock heads, and a 340 with X heads about the same time. I broke both of them in on my engine start stand, using the same headers (generic steering thru the headers car style). Using the same name brand header gaskets, with no leaks. I then had a change of plans and put...

I go in for tire repair and the man asks about my windshield wipers....?

Dealer did the same thing to me, when I took the wifes Jeep in for an oil change. Stopped at the local parts store and bought the filters on the way home. They had never checked the air filter, it still had dust on the housing and no fingerprints. Finally got the sob out, and it still looked...
