I am charging my a/c system and have a question. When I set the a/c to max a/c the compressor clutch is locked and the compressor is spinning but when I put it to normal a/c the clutch does not lock up. Is this normal.

Did anybody get pictures of the green 74 Valiant in the young guns section? I brought a car to Carlisle for the first time and forgot to take pictures of it. On Friday I was next to a green 69 Valiant and on Saturday I was next to a green 75 Duster.

Thanks, to get better mileage I am thinking of getting a clutch fan, going to a lower weight oil, and putting synthetic rear end oil in. I have 2.76 rearend gears I believe and a totally stock 74 318 with all the emission stuff connected. If anybody has advice post it up.

I tried the search feature and couldn't find anything to do with just city mileage. So what is everybody getting from their small blocks around town? With 100% city driving I get 15mpg from my stock 74 318. Is this good?

Thanks, I searched the forum and it seems that some rub and some don't. I dont know if its the extra width from having disc brakes that makes a difference.

I just got some 15x7 mopar steel wheels and want to put 225/60-15 tires all around on my 74 Valiant. The car is stock with front disc brakes and a 7.25" rear. Will they rub up front?

Welcome, I'm 18 with a 73 Charger and 74 Valiant

I recently bought a 74 Valiant with a 318 and a 7-1/4" rearend. I thought that all V8 A-bodies came with the 8-1/4" after 72 or am I wrong. I wouldn't think somebody switched it out as nothing else has been touched on the car. I'm just curious if the 8-1/4" was an option or not with the 318.

This may sound very stupid but, how does the front license plate mount? It looks like the plate should go almost into the bumper but it doesnt fit.

I drove it home today, an hour drive. The car ran flawlessly. It still has the original hoses and belts. Look what I found between the seat.

My plans are it to basically do nothing. I will replace the belts, hoses, rubber fuel and brake lines, and a front sway bar. Some Charger pictures
