    360 Magnum engine

I had an out of the box 360/380 crate motor. 4.56 gear, 9.5" Dynamic converter, 9x30 / 94.0" bias slicks on a 7" wheel. It would go through the lights at 5700.

    Craigslist just went insane

Yes, and I would bet the farm he'd be insulted on top of it. Fair market value based on condition has no meaning to the entitlement generation.

racing harness in a bench seat car

The angle of the harness shoulder straps to an attachment point is very critical. The straps must be level or no more than 4" below than the height of your shoulders. There is an illustration in the NHRA rule book.

Another old Chrysler Master Tech video

From the video.... "I'll bet it was quite a project to design a V8 engine to go with our compact Valiant and Dart" Some engineer probably said...'I pity the poor hot rodder that ever wants to put headers on this thing' :evil4:

    Sanderson DD8 / Early A Shorty Headers

Any one have actual photos of the DD8 headers for early A bodies out of the box and installed? I spoke with Fransisco at Sanderson and he said sets have been built and sold. Hoping maybe a member here purchased a set.

15x4 Mopar steel wheels in Coker Tire 2013 catalog

First time in the 2013 catalog, not listed in the 2012 catalog or online (yet). I called them and they don't have them in stock yet (as of today 2/05). Catalog shows $78.00 each.

15x4 Mopar steel wheels in Coker Tire 2013 catalog

I just got a 2013 Coker Tire catalog with my latest Hemmings Motor News. Page 45 shows a 15x4 standard Mopar center and the police wheel avaliable in both 4 1/2" & 4"(police 4 1/2" only) bolt patterns. They appear to have not updated their website to show the new size, this is...

are things really that overpriced these days?

Don't count on it! I think I may have worked on that Dart when I was employed at Doering Dodge in the late 70's...LOL!

are things really that overpriced these days?

Just because someone throws out a price, means it market value gospel. Look at the goofs on Craigslist posting junk for $5,000+ who are so lazy they don't move the crap stacked on filthy 4 door beaters with flat tires that hasn't run in years. I agree on many of these so called "rust-free"...

Good Guys show in Scottsdale - where are the A Bodies?

I think so many Mopar owners go for the Mopar only type events. It's the "Mopar or no car" mindset.

    Track accident

Besides tech, there should be a common sense test people need to take before being let on the property. In the staging lanes a moron was in line about 4 feet right behind my car. I was standing behind my car when this idiot fires his car up, sets the trans brake and goes to WOT! A track...

    1965 heater delete panel??????

The plate is nothing more that flat metal with a slight radius on the edges. It bolts in like the radio delete plate. This one was out of a Dart. In a junkyard I have seen chrome buttons that snap into each heater control opening. I was never able to find a complete set of them so I went with...

    Racing with Cragar ss wheels

Really? Have you received them yet and are they actually direct fit 5x4.5" BP wheels ? I have never heard of this option for the 4.5" BP since the unilug stye has been around, much less at no extra charge.

Replacemnt bench seat for a 66 Dart SW

The '67 and up A-body seats work using your early A seat tracks, it's a bolt in perfect fit. I had a bench seat from a Duster for awhile in my 64 Valiant. Now I have a Bench seat from a Diplomat squad car. I used the Diplomat seat tracks and drilled new holes in the floor.

    318 or slant 6?

I vote the 318 also. I'll get grief :protest: from the slant six crowd, but I also agree with the overrated comment on the slants. They are tough, but I have seen many with a rod out the side of the block. I'd bet more 4.0 Jeep sixes made 200K + miles than slants ever did.

66 dart with 360 ...what manifolds or headers?

I just finished fabbing my exhaust with 360 manifolds off a C-body (25 bucks for the pair). A Borgeson coupler and U-joint. With a small amount of heating the engine pipe flange and dinging it for clearence at the coupler. 2.25" mandrel bends cut and welded.

    1965 Valiant front wheels

    A 14" x 4.5" wide (Part#3580345) was used on some of the base Aspen / Volare's. I've found some on late (75 & 76) A-bodys. They work great for that 'bigs-and-littles' look.

I need help for exhaust manifold

I'm using 360 manifolds off a C-body. The left side is a rear dump and being 360 manifolds they are a bigger port size and a 2 1/4" pipe bolts right up and they are dirt cheap here in junk yards. I went with a Borgeson coupler and universle joint in the steering shaft. A little fab work but...

    another wheel ????

I agree with the 15 X 7 - 4.25" backspacing wheel. The mid to late 80's Chrysler 5th Avenues all used that wheel. You can tell them by the extra holes between the bolt pattern that was used to hold a center mount to hold the wire wheel hup caps. I've bought them as cheap as 5 bucks in bone...

Help me decide on a hood for my race car

Another vote for the old 2 piece (with the angle) pro stock scoop. The new ones remind me of the alien's head from the movie 'Alien'. I can't stand cowl hoods no matter how the masses want to spin the greatness of them.:puke: But in the end it's your car your choice!

Late model exhaust manifolds in an early A-body

I tried the Dakota manifold route on my '64 Valiant and didn't care for the tight fight, shimming motor mounts, etc. I installed '73 360 manifolds out of a C-body. I used a Borgeson coupler at the steering box their universal joint further up the steering shaft. The only massaging was the...
