On an OD trans, isn't one of the shift levers reversed compared to a regular 833. I think 3rd gear is the old 4th gear, and the od gear is now 3rd, or something like that. maybe that is the problem. I beleive the rods are different for an OD 833 than a standard 833, not 100% sure though...
