When 1st built it would do ok if I mixed race fuel with super. There is a gas station close by that I get ethanol free gas from(92 octane). I'm going to try some mixture with it. It just leads to more drive time. Thanks for the input
The next thing I would do is buy some aluminum heads for this engine in my 66 and put the X heads on my 72 dart. I'm about to put my 72 back together and just didn't have the money to spend at this time so it will get a freshened pair of J heads. I had wanted to "stroke the hell out" of 1 to...
I lost my sheet with all the numbers on my 340 build, it was in early 2002. It is probably pretty close, it doesn't like pump gas. When first built it didn't like pump gas much then I blew a head gasket and when I put the heads back on 2 years ago I must have put a thinner head gasket because it...
My 340 has a 360 crank with the 340 pistons milled to clear deck. Old School Storker is what my dad/I wanted to build and he had a lot of parts lying around. I know it's not the cheapest but it does have stock rod/pistons. I apologize if I misunderstood and I am speaking way out in left field.
On mine I have to put it back together for a car show in a week and then I'll have to take it back apart later to at least paint it. If I have found a solution to my alt gauge problem I will address it then. Until then I'll bolt the leads back together and let it ride. It has been like that for...
Ok, thanks for info. I'll check my extra alt gauge it there is no way to tighten up the existing gauge. I still haven't seen anything that could be causing my connection problem on the left side of my cluster. I'm going to address the alt gauge first and then repaint the front of the cluster and...
Everything looks decent compared to others I've seen. My Alt gauge has a loose post but if I can't tighten it up I have another in a spare cluster I can try. Then I'll try to repaint the bezel. 2 questions since you seem to know more than myself. Here is a pick of the back of the cluster, should...
My 66 Dart has gauge issues. At one point I was able to tap or push on the far left of the instrument cluster and they would work. However that hasn't worked in a while. I'm hoping to take mine apart in the next day or so. I'll update if I figure anything out.
I have a '66 with an A body 8.75, with 15x8 wheels. I had Road Hugger 245/60-15 then I put 235/60-15 BF drag radials on it. The wheel wells needed to be rolled(beat with a hammer) to have a better fit. With that being said, you can't get a finger in between the tire and wheel well on the right...
