Not at the moment . working on my 1996 jeep and saving cash to move forward on 383 . ju7st installed locker and now blowing off steam bashing around in the mud.

lol the 440 rods are for the 440 and i will use the 383 stock rods if in good shape . Looking to run 10.5 for CR not sure on pistons at this point some KB and cam choice is still up in there air . looking for around 440 hr. But . need more infor on what i will end up doing. some parts i have...

The 440 and 400 are in way better shape than the 383 . but i feel the 383 would be a better choice for the cuda.

I have a 1966 440 block strip down ready to go to the machine shop. A 1975 400 waiting to stroke to 500 cid , an this 383 i could not pass up for the cost, and will go into a 67 convet cuda as a 383 S clone that i am restoring . any way thats the dream.Slow an steady will win .the day

yep on the rods . everything going to machine shop to be checked and recon. Oh yea those rods are for a 440 , have a set of mopar HP (6 pak) rods all recon and ARP bolts sitting in a box waitin to go !

LOL maybe but nothing to hard , a ball joint press and some WD40 works wonders . Had some 440 rods with pistons to test it out with , worked great took all of an hr to remove 7 pistons.

nothing new to report at this time , removing pistons from rods and just working to get cash to send block to machine shop. Blew my back out 3 yrs ago and trying to keep my mopar dream alive... lol will get some pics up of the piston removel found a easy way to get this done wasting the pistons...

All apart yeep pee, now to run a tap thru the major bolt holes then need to do some work to fund next faze . bore is ok after straight edge check

Dollars are the right bait for most things lol. Yes trying to push cam out from the inside with hammer and drift (washing machine main shaft) snap cam just at gear .

lol both would be fun to reel in. Got all pistons out and only the 1 crack, lifters coming out now . broke cam end with gear . Need to pull straight edge out and check crank bore. Gee tired, swinging that hammer around is a work out for sure. Pic in a bit . Thanks

Thank you. Got just 2 pistons left in block so far still 1 bad hole , have all lifters moving and next battle will be getting cam out . No movement there at all ... just keep soaking and swinging .

Hey nothing new to report. this sat was my birthday, spent it stripper fishing on plum island , drinking beer eating good food caught no fish but had a great time . will be back at the block this week . Thanks again all for the intrest.

yes a few lifters are broken from trying to remove them.

Thats not to bad . we,ll have to get other pistons out and see / hope this is the only 1.

I know nothing about sleeveing but will look into it . Thanks

Well all good things.....sad but oh well 4th piston out and ....well look for your self. On to my 1965 440 block yeah this one all apart just need to get serious about it . Thanks for the intrest and great comments. Lol cant seem to find pics i just uploaded any how crack in # 7 piston wall . suxs.

Pop crank caps and rod caps an removed rod bolts , out came crankshaft with no damage. have 1 piston out and ran glaze breaker on it , looks good now I just take my time . One wrong swing and ding and .....junk . pics to follow.

Still working on freeing up moving parts. Doing a few projects ,1996 jeep cherokee on 6.5 lift , getting together parts for my 400 block to stroke . and things take time ... Any way got block on stand and will be breaking pistons out ( and i mean breaking !!) soon .

Just today got lifters to break free . still havent tryed to break pistons yet but i think there ready ...

lol blew my back out a few years ago and now cant work ...sux but living on a fix income its tuff.
