Probably been asked before, but, with the scarcity and price of the 4"bolt pattern front disc brake situation, has anyone tried redrilling the later '73-'76 A or B body disc setup to 4" bolt circle?

I've seen a lot of threads about guys not knowing what their cam specs are, and members suggesting that they use a "cam checking jig" to find out exactly what they have. Can members post pics of what setup they use to measure a camshaft? I'd like to build something at home as I have several cams...

Like title states....is a 284*/.484 hydro cam too big for a stock, low compreesion 273?
