I am just amazed at what you guys can do with some of the cars I've seen on this forum. Guess I'm spoiled with the cars from Southern California. My Dart was almost rust free, except for some minor rust behind the drivers door. Good luck with the car and I've subscribed to the thread....

We usually do the La Mesa or El Cajon shows, although our Dart hasn't been on the road since 2008 when we started the V8 swap. Guess we'll have to make the run North to Grand one of these Fridays. Looks like Mopars are well represented. Mine should fit right in with the peeling clear coat and...

Well I'm in Allied Gardens, 69 Dart on the road for a few months now. Not any club member at this time.

My front wheels are 15 X 7 with 4.5" back spacing with 235 X 60 X 15 BFG TA's. The fit is perfect with no rubbing and you can see the car sets pretty low with stock /6 torsion bars and stock rear springs.

I'm sold on PCV valves, I've now been running a PCV valve for almost two months now. I also replaced the main rear seal that was leaking, may or may not been caused by not running the PCV during break in. The motor did set complete and ready foor install for over a year while I did the rear end...

Fantastic, looks like it turned out great! This is motivation to redo mine. The bodyshop that did my 4K paint job is shot in 2 years, clear coat peeling on roof, trunk lid and hood....he is closed down and out of business, go figure! Think I'll do it my self next time, since the sheet metal is...

Would be awfully hard to put a sentimental value on that car! Yes, retail, 7 or 8K, but your uncle should just give it to you or at least sell it to you for what he has in it as long as you plan on keeping it. That is exactly how we got our 69 Dart, it was my youngest step-daughters...

We only have an 1/8 here in San Diego County; www.BaronaDrags.com They need a drag strip up there. Irwindale is looking like it's in trouble, Toyota has pulled its sponsorship on the oval track. Everyone is worried about the drag strip closing down.

Just sold this set up last year, 40 foot Weekend Warrior (hauled our Wrangler in it) and tow rig was a 04 Silverado Duramax, 3/4 ton with air bags, large capacity rear end cover, performance computer, full length 3" exhaust, 35" BFG All Terrains, 6" lift. Sold the Wrangler too.... This economy...

I didn't have the money to buy nice wheels so I went with a black steel wheel with D shaped slots. Off road wheels, Rock Crushers from 4 Wheel Parts, $52 each. Good tires though, BFG TA's. They look great with the B5. :cheers:

It might be dangling down behind the back of the motor grounding out, that female spade connector or if it's been cut and tapped up is grounding somewhere. Try wiggling the wire harness that goes to the alternator, it's located in there originally and comes out at the area of the valve cover...

It's okay the way he's got it mounted, if you go towards the rear the spring attaches to the linkage and will do the same thing. As Fishy68 stated the spring just needs to be strong enough to hold the linkage at zero throttle. I'm still making the fine adjustments to mine, I'm using a 78 318 and...

Great car you scored there, my first Hot Rod was a 72 Comet with a 302 2v with a C4, manual steering and brakes. Beat a lot of Mustangs and Camaro's. Not sure why but it was a screamer! Brown with a vinyl top too!

I'm 55 and semi retired, got laid off last February 2011. So the wife drives our 2011 Tahoe and I drive the 69 Dart now that it's on the road. Also ride our 2010 HD Ultra Limited when it's nice (which is most of the time, sunny San Diego). Sold the 04 Crew Cab DuraMax 4x4 and 40' Weekend Warrior...

Congrats! I've been off since Feb. 11, sucks, but I do have a pension coming in from being a retired sheet metal worker. Not as bad as it could be. The news seems to suggest things are starting to get better, I hope so, tired of not working and it kills the budget for play money!
