Are one of your springs bad? with my dart one of the springs was bad so it made it sit uneven in the back.

I was having the same problem with my 73 dart, I had the carb rebuilt and now it runs like a beauty. Usually if its been sitting for a long time the carb tends to be the problem. Also check your plugs and wires.

Thanks for the tips guys, all were helpfull. there's a lot i want to do with this motor, i like 318's a lot. Im actually about to buy another 318 motor from a friend for $100 bucks. I plan to build that one for a racing motor, preferably dual quad intake with holley 770s. I dont know about cams...

What Kinda transmission do you got? I want to get a four speed manual but no idea what its called.

That's cool i've been wanting to look into doing that to my 318 but i don't think i'll ever have the money to. Looks like its going to be cramped in that engine bay.

Hey I was wondering what are some good ideas for boosting the Horsepower on my small block 318. stock it has about 150, but i want to be around 300. I f you have any ideas let me know. Thanks.
