They fit great around my mini starter! I have removed starter without touching headers! I have dropped exhaust, just to make more room, but headers are plenty enough out of the way!

I am looking for better performance, great for street to light performance! But I need long tube for my motor build!

Thanks for the info! Btw... the heads and rockers I bought as a matched set! I bought these from another member, who had this setup on a running motor. All I had to do is replace springs! I will dig into though! I may find it has all been corrected, unless Cam change changes things! Thanks again!

Keep in mind... I had the same kind of issue with the stock 546 heads, Lunati Voodo Hyd. cam 10230703K .494/.513 and 2200 rpm stall! I changed out because I thought I was running out of head! So that is way I am thinking it is something tied to what I have not replaced! I could not get 5000 rpm...

Comp Cam did not seem to think there would be a problem. The valve springs are good to .700 lift from what they claim! They knew the complete build including the 1.6 rockers!

Why do you say that? It is not a radical lift! Not understanding why that claim! The geometric is directly centered on the valve all the way through the valve movement! Please explain!

It was installed per Comps recommendation, at 106 which worked out to be advanced 4 degrees from their grind! The way I understand it was to advance for horsepower and retard it for torque!

I stand corrected! 106-108 was my last 1/4 mile run last yr! (This was before head and cam change, I replaced old iron 546 heads with the ProComp aluminum heads.) Which was 12.6, but I have calculated my times from this yr on 1/8 mile, which was 8.4 at 83mph.

Yes, just running with cutouts open! Trap speeds at 106-108 mph, shifting it in 3rd about 3/4 track! It is just not pulling after 5100, no pops, stumble or knocks, just like no more to give! Mechanical Carter high flow/high volume pump. Maybe I will try just extensions and more gear! Thanks!

There is only 1 90 degree bend from the regulator to carb.... 3/8" including tank sending unit! If it was a fuel issue, would it not stumble? There is no stumble just flattens out on power!

That is what I am thinking! Just not sure if that if that is why is not pulling in higher rpm range!

I have confirmed spring pressure and install height with Comp Cam! Both are at there recommendations! I have 3/8 line from fuel tank to carb, regulated to 6.5 lbs! I do not believe it is a fuel problem as I feel no stumble at all, just no more pull out of motor!

Completely stock from what I know! They were rebuilt when motor was done, with new valves and seals about 2500 miles on them.
