    Change interior colour

and that's the dilemma...I don't want to buy it and ruin it. the dude only wants $7900 obo too. (plus $500 for me to get there and 17 hours to drive home) more pics....door cards https://www.dropbox.com/s/dzjl69px6dat373/DSC01130.JPG https://www.dropbox.com/s/yne15zanf6087v1/DSC01135.JPG...

    Change interior colour

I've just found a sweeeeet Dart with a perfect beige interior :banghead: I'm not sure I can live with beige, do you think there's any point dyeing the interior black? https://www.dropbox.com/s/hpe1aqil9w9167u/21.JPG https://www.dropbox.com/s/0ah46f24ikvegbb/20.JPG...

    what would you do?

I kinda like the beaker Here is car #2 that is $9500, and apparently not the 1st car, so the interior may not be trashed, just need re-covering. https://www.dropbox.com/s/surh9ug7bu4vx95/101_0021.JPG?m (NS doesn't need a front license plate)

    what would you do?

Thanks for the offer....I'm looking for something to drive. Guessing there's a lot in storage right now, ready to be sprung in spring. I'm not 100% on the rear-end change for the 74+, but I live in Fall River - do you have the details?

    looks interesting. tell me more.

    what would you do?

ok, there's another twist in this tale. I asked guy #2 straight up if it was #1's car, and he's denied it. I've no reason not to believe, so I asked to see it....now he's struggling to let go of the car and 'can't' sell it right now. seems I'm just another victim of kijiji time-wasters!

    McDonalds and taxes

my guess is it'll happen when the cost of making pennies becomes more than the coin's face value....if that's not happened already. I think the penny here was costing 1.6cents to make before they scrapped it.

    McDonalds and taxes

that sucks, but try paying for McD's with 15% HST as we do in NS
  13. N

    what would you do?

WOW $1000, nice deal!! :icon_smi: Prices and condition are definitely worse up north. Here in NS, we get the salty air and brutal grit/salt in the winter.

    what would you do?

    good advice...I'm just too impatient!

    what would you do?

Here's the scenario.... I found a sweet Swinger and decided to buy. Sold my car - I live in the middle of nowhere, so I need 'something' even if it's just to get food. Arrange to buy over the phone. Arrange insurance, temp plates etc. 30 minutes before the meeting up; phone call....guy 'changes...

some good advice there, thanks. I spoke to the owner last night, seems it's a 'survivor' whatever that means, and really solid. my main concerns are it's got a green interior with black buckets....would prefer all black interior....oh and it's a 2bbl 318 gonna go see it tomorrow...knowing me...

Thanks for that. The wife's got an SUV for groceries etc, and I have a garage so the plan is for a toy/street/summer/daily ride. Sounds to me like I just check the car as I would with any car purchase. No other hot-spots/usual things that go bad on these then? Thanks

Hi, I'm going to look at a '73 Dart Swinger 318 that's apparently a southern car. What are the main ponits I should be looking for? Presumably rust is normally #1...or maybe not if it's spent it's life in a dry state? Thanks, N

    newbie question alert...

Hi, thanks for the heads up. Yes it probably is the same one on kijiji and it does look like it's missing the chrome now you mention it. I did a google and there's so many different styles out there, some with lots of chrome, some with not etc. I've recently changed jobs so I'm permanently...

    newbie question alert...

Thanks for the quick replies and suggestions. I was looking on rockauto and I'm amazed how reasonably priced service parts are compared to my 2004 Saab 9-5.

    newbie question alert...

Hi, I'm based in NS and I've seen a '67 Satellite for sale at what seems like a good price that's really tempting me. I've never owned anything that old...mainly early 80's VW's (whilst living in the UK where parts are plentiful), so I'm completely out of my comfort zone here. I realize this...
