Should I buy it 72 Duster

Not bad for any Mopar now! I own and drive 2 that don't look much better-and I wouldn't take $700. for them. If you can buy complete cars in your area for that, you better rent garage space. I've looked in this area for 20 years, and anything close to that is over a grand! Robert

Mopar motherload in eastern North Carolina!!!

Hey guys, Don't mean to butt-in, but if you're near Wilmington, NC, I've got a few Duster/Scamp parts that I'd like to get rid of. Had a Swinger, but it's gone so the parts need to leave. I have fenders, doors, rear windshield, rear roll-up windows and other parts. I can match or beat about...

    '73 340 horsepower

Thanks guys, I had collected stuff to build it like my high school car( LD340 intake, Mallory dual-point, M/T and Cal Custom Valve covers, etc.), but with all the squawk about the "hemi", I didn't think anybody would appreciate it. I drive mine or my wife's car every day, so I wasn't going too...

    '73 340 horsepower

Since ya'll should know more about this since I'm more old school (54), horsepower-wise. I have a '73 340 longblock under my workbench. Would I be better off rebuilding it (I'm going to run carb, elec. ign., etc.), or go with a newer Magnum or 5.7? I'm using it in a 72 Duster w/4-speed and 2.76...

    Just wondering..

Been there, seen that. Basically tho, between the old grind of day-to-day, etc., don't hit the site as much as I would like. When I bought my last one 17 years ago, I had 3 local friends that were also into them. Now its just me and I have aload of Dart parts I can't give away. Send me a list...

    Auto OD

Was there ever an auto OD, or one that could be reasonably adapted to /6. My wife's car has .060 overbore, 318 valves in head, etc-will not drive manual but 70mph plus winds it pretty good with 3.23 gears. Need to lower rpm's w/o having to compromise take-off. Add-on OD not really desired.

    New Project /6 4-speed :)

I've had the 'lite' 4-speed OD behind a /6 and 318; not great for 1st to 2nd but not as bad as everyone would lead you to believe. I averaged 24-27mpg with both engines-I'm rough on them tho-only got 100thou out of each engine.

    What's it Worth Question....

Hey there, If the car is complete and has disc brakes, it could make a fun runner. A thousand sounds high to me but, it depends on what they bring in your area. I have a pair of '72's and didn't pay over $500 apiece, running. I'm fond of them, so if I had to,would probably go more.
