We have been running one on Dad's 69 Dart for a few years now. It doesn't see as many miles as it should, but we have been pleased with it. The price was right, and it was a good step up from the worn out points distributor we started out with.

Just not as many to go around up here. Years ago, the hot ticket for us Ontarians was to go out west and snap them up cheap. You westerners caught on and adjusted your prices. Southern Ontario and east ward is the rust belt of Canada. Now we all have to travel south to find the deals.

Hopefully he has all the hard to find parts and they're usable.

I don't think any of the options you want to add will hurt the value in any way. They will only enhance it my opinion. And, like you mentioned, it's not a super rare car, so add away.
