Passenger door, not any better than the drivers door. Both doors had a crease in the middle like they had been opened really hard when parked to close to a metal sign.

Drivers side door. Looked pretty good until I stripped it down. Whole lotta dings and dents.

I’d be willing to bet that they probably did. Would be interesting if someone restoring one would find it. One would have to carefully sand it down. I didn’t notice mine till just recently, like 19 years later while looking through my old pictures. The fact that my car is red and the grease pen...

Got this trunk lid from a fella in Arizona I believe who originally sent me a different trunk lid but the carton got damaged at some point in southern Pennsylvania so he had the option of sending it the rest of the way to Erie, Pa in which case it would not be insured. Or he could collect the...

At first I was just going to replace the right side of the radiator core support but later decided to get a whole core support. Cut off all the excess material and cleaned it up real good. The upper portion was a little beat up, my anger management wasn’t working to well. The body shop took care...

The left fender was a little worse for wear on the inside. Had to replace the dog leg and brace. Body shop did a nice job on it. Fortunately I had a donor fender I was able to use for the brace.

I’ve noticed that for years. Can get almost any part you need except fenders and doors. Maybe it’s just me but it seems like it’s just the 67-69 Barracudas. And you can’t get a notchback quarter panel, you have to get a fastback and trim it down.

That’s totally nuts. Glad I got my parts when I did.

Body shop did a terrific job on it. When I got it back I decided to paint the inside black and paint the R4 red on the head light area and where the fender bolts are located.

Got a rather ratty looking fender from the state of Washington. Outside looked horrible. Inside wasn’t too bad. Paid $100 for the fender and $150 to ship it. In the third photo you can see someone cut a chunk out of it. Didn’t notice that when I bought it. The bracket for the headlight was also...

Good luck in your search. Hang on to them 383 manifolds. You may end up having to use them. It would also be cheaper than buying a set of 440 manifolds.

It is a 440. The original owner traded the car in for a 1972 Plymouth Duster. Somewhere between 1972 and 1975 the second, third or fourth owner took out the original 440 and swapped it with a 383. In 1975 the original owner spotted it at the used car lot and purchased it thinking it still had...

Fortunately when I bought this car it had a 383 in it with the original exhaust manifolds. I sandblasted them, then painted them with POR-15 black paint. Then I painted them with Plasti-kote Hemi orange 500 degree paint. Found out later that the exhaust manifolds can get up to 1000 degrees...

Thanks everyone, especially ‘Cuda_ragtop. You were very helpful.

Is this interior trim installed correctly?

Removed the side panel and raised up the trim. The trim is straight up. As I look at it now I think the side panel goes on first. Any other opinions?

Is this interior trim installed correctly?

I am wondering if my trim is installed correctly. Looks to me like it could be installed either way. This is in a 1969 Barracuda fastback. Want to make sure it’s right before I install the stainless trim.

    "Something in the Orange"

Very nice. Love the color and tinted windows. Like some of the others have said. It’s your car, build it whatever way you like. When mine is done it will have several incorrect things on it. Most notably the 67 inner fender wells, oops forgot to tell the body shop to cut those stinking nuts off...

Cleaned up the lower control arms and replaced the bushings. Painted them with Eastwood’s detail gray for the bare metal look. I believe they should have been painted to look more of a brownish gold. Cut the inner fender wells off of a front clip that I had purchased years ago. Cut all the spot...

Incredible job on the fender wells. You should have seen the garage I first used the rotisserie in. Old wooden one that was falling apart. Had to put plastic on the inside of the roof to keep the rain and snow from getting on the car. The metal for the rotisserie cost me $300 and a friend welded...

Cut off the core support and inner fender wells. Stripped everything down to bare metal. Wanna make sure it lasts. Like my older brother used to say, if you’re gonna do the job, you may as well do it right.

Thank you. Didn’t have a lift and wasn’t about to crawl underneath the car to try and strip it. The metal cost $300 and a friend welded it together. Made it way easier. Wouldn’t have been able to do it without the rotisserie.
