[FOR SALE] 1970 Plymouth Duster Factory (RARE) Factory Metal Kick Panels

What would dictate whether you got the plastic or the metal? My 70 has these and I always wondered if they were correct. My car is not a stripper

Looking to get a welder for the house

This year I bought a 211 and a diversion 180 tig. Miller had a 400 dollar rebate on the 211 so both machines cost me 2657.00 A pretty good deal on two high quality brand name machines. They work awesome I would recommend them. I don't know if I would consider much from HF Cyberweld sells...

Factory manifolds.....just how good were they?

The 71-2 TQ intake will crush the early AVS manifold. The TQ has a large open plenum and the runners are actually about a 1/4 larger. One of the things that really hurts the AVS intake is the sharp edge on the deep side.

    The 'Quickest' A-Body Small Blocks

Mr Cuda, If you were to take a head (X or J) that flowed say 240 cfm at .450 lift and you put the avs intake on the head while still on the bench you would see that you may only get a fraction of that 240cfm say maybe 208. The same test with the TQ will simply give you more, say 219. One...

    The 'Quickest' A-Body Small Blocks

It's the intake that holds the early cars back, not so much the carb. The 71 intake has a big open plenum and the runners are at least 1/4 inch larger. If you look at NHRA's engine factors the 71 has always been about 15 hp higher. Everyday my money is on the 71 340 over a early one

Adding 2.02 intake to J heads

One thing to consider is that the X head was designed for 2.02 valves and the J head was designed to use the 1.88s. These two heads have very different short turn shapes. Even when the factory installed the 2.02 in the J they didn't fix the problem. The "area under the curve" That the chief...

    The 'Quickest' A-Body Small Blocks

Pa Karp, A little hard to read that small time slip. Does your 60ft say 2.28? I'm sure you know, but that is where I would look for my lower ET's. If you could widdle that down to 2.0 or better yet 1.9xx you could probably run a 14.0 or a teen. 1970 Duster vs 1968 GTO - YouTube

    Match Race ~ 1970 'Duster 340' vs. 1969 Mustang 'Mach 1' 351W

If a 1969 Mach 1 rolls up next to a 70 340 Duster it would have to have a Cobra Jet in it to be a player. The 351w and the 390 were no enough to do the job in 69. The Cleveland for 70 "may" be a very good race as long as the cars are created equal . The 71 Boss 351 would probably be enough to...

70 and 71 A body Rallye dash bezel

I'm in the position of needing both a 70 and 71 A body Rallye dash bezel. I have two excellent candidates for replating but I also see there is brand new bezels on the market. Is there a reason I should go one way or the other? I need two, so cost is a little concern but it is not the only...

What I mean is, I put the numbers matching parts on the shelf. That way they don't have the chance to get hurt while racing.

This is my 68. I think I have had since 92? It has probably been painted since 96. I was going to put a hemi in it, collected a bunch of junk for it and changed my mind. The plan now is to build a 440 GSS clone. It will never get done...It just lingers on In a way I just hate this car

    Scatpacktom says Hello

This is my Demon. I bought it last year and it will be my new "Pure Stocker" as I think the 71 is simply a better combo. I hope to be burning up the Polyglas' by June. This car needs to be fluffed up a bit. It will get a "new" drivetrain as well.

Wanted to say Hello, I'm new here. I used to lurk from time to time so I thought I would join. I like to look at everyone's progress in the restoration section. I have some 71-2 B bodies and some E bodies sprinkled with a few A bodies. Right now I have A bodies on my mind. I thought I would...
