Restoration? Performance mods? Survivor cars? What's YOUR preference?

I can definitely get behind the "FAST" guys and their stock appearing rocketships. :) I've just always thought mopars in general required very little in the way of aftermarket appearance stuff to look terrific. Oh, and thanks for the definition of day two, bomber, that sounds a lot like the...

    Suffering a mopar deficiency, currently.

Always been partial to the smaller square body cars, my first car was a '66 nova. Just something about an A body mopar looks right though. They even feel like a "big" car for a guy my size. :)

Restoration? Performance mods? Survivor cars? What's YOUR preference?

"day two" is a new one for me. Anybody care to elaborate on that phrase? I've been incredibly lucky finding mostly original, well cared for one and 2 owner mopars. Granted, nothing super rare or special unless you count the '73 SE Charger 440 I found years ago, all original 1 owner every...

    New guy, probably old question

Thanks for all the input guys. Not sure what type clutch he used when it was replaced but I'll ask him, Rusty. He had some guy across town do the work so I'm betting its the cheapest autozone replacement part he could find. The other ideas give me a few things to check out too. Stay tuned...

Restoration? Performance mods? Survivor cars? What's YOUR preference?

I'm a fan of all of the above but if I had to pick, nothing beats a clean original survivor car IMO. Hard to find and they're only original once. Besides, Mopar had "IT" when it came to styling and options, very little needed to make 'em stand out in a crowd. What's the hive say?

Thanks SSBA. I figured a forum like this might just lead me to what I'm searchin for. This isn't mine but it's an exact duplicate of the one I used to have. Loved that car, right down to the grampa hubcaps and the craptastic AM radio. Hell, it even had AC! :)

    New guy, probably old question

It's definitely coming from under the dash, happens under acceleration at low RPMs but not in neutral sitting still at least not that we could duplicate anyway.. Is the spring you mentioned listed in the exploded diagram of the pedal linkage as an "over center spring"? It does appear to be...

    New guy, probably old question

It has right at an inch of free pedal, Geo. Engagement is smooth and solid, feels good runnin through the gears. It almost sounds like a bracket moving around but I can't find a single thing that looks or feels loose.

Still love me some A body goodness though. I'm keeping an eye peeled for a nice little dart for my next project. Had a stone stock '72 swinger, sold it to finance another project and now, I miss it. :( Live n learn I reckon. I did build something fun with the money though and it does have...

That intake looks like jewelry! I'd almost want to leave my hood home, you know, if I had a hood. :)

    New guy, probably old question

Hey guys, newb here, currently moparless but I've got a few in my past. '73 charger SE, '72 swinger, '69 satellite, all automatics. I'm trying to help a neighbor that's not real mechanically inclined diagnose an under dash noise that popped up when he had his clutch replaced. Car is a '70...
