    340 Hot Start Issues.

    I was just going to post on this issue after driving my sons Dart again. It has a cold air intake and its the only mopar I've ever owned that starts everytime, hot or cold, and runs nice and cool in the worst Hawaii traffic.this is an old pic. put a 600 cfm edelbrock on since. they're all I run.

    will a 273 intake fit a 318?

    you can redrill the holes, but the angle will still be different,when you tighten down the intake bolts they won't seat flat, you have to machine the angle also, I have the edelbrock version of that with 65 heads,just sitting on the shelf

    its amazing ,,,out of the whole front end,,,pulling out those lca bushings is the hardest part of the job,,,we had to basically slice them out every time..................what BS.

    why do they list things as 318 to 360,,,a 273/318 head is different from 340/360 heads,,,although they will bolt on,,,the intake ports are different in size,,,if I were you,,I would look for a stock 66 and up 4 bbl intake from a commando motor,,,they are always on e-bag

    what dual quad intake are you running?now really up in the air,,,64-65 have smaller heart shaped combustion chamber,66 commando heads more open chamber,,,would the closed chamber bump the comp.ratio up even more than 10:5-1?

    pulled the 66 head off today,,same size valves as standard,I believe the standard heads I have are actually 64,,,came out of a 65 valiant but block has a 64 casting date
