    [FOR SALE] Recored 1970 Dart Swinger/Duster 340 4 Speed Radiator. 2998978

Recored 2998978 radiator. This was in my 58 Parisienne convertible and had approximately 150 miles on it since being recored. Cooled the big block in the Pontiac beautifully. I replaced it with an aluminum rad as I thought this needed to go back into a car it belonged in. $550.

A set of 4 14" 5 x 4" ralley wheels. Wheels are in nice condition with no road rash. Should look great once blasted and painted. 3 center caps that probably would be fine for a driver, should be replaced for anything more. 1968 Barracuda Convertible

Sorry, I guess I should provide a bit of an update. I haven't updated in a while as the '68 has gone down the road. I traded it, a 57 BelAir convertible project and a little green stuff for this '37 Cabriolet. It's a nice older built car. Original Henry Ford Steel, Big Block Chevy, Turbo 400...

68 Barracuda........ Temp and Gas Gauge Issue.

I really wasn't too concerned with the temp reading. It was a hot day and had been sitting running for a while. Out of curiosity I'll use a temp gun on it on the weekend and see the temps at the thermostat and rad are.

68 Barracuda........ Temp and Gas Gauge Issue.

So I reinstalled the cluster today with the RTE installed and the fuel gauge isolated as previously mentioned. The temp and oil gauge seem accurate. I have pulsing power at the tank end of the fuel sender connection but not sure that what the gauge is showing is correct. I have about 4" of...

Can you "fix" a bad top install?

With all the feedback I've received on fixing this, the common theme was to have a powered stapler and stainless staples. I ordered a pneumatic stapler and staples today. Once they arrive I'll try to fix the issues with the top. I actually don't think It's going to be that bad to repair. I was...

68 Barracuda........ Temp and Gas Gauge Issue.

The 12V feed to the fuel gauge had already been cut by the previous owner to feed his VR. The 12V feed that normally would go to the pin feeding the gas gauge 12V now feeds directly to the RTE VR. There is no voltage fed to the fuel gauge other than the 5V coming from the RTE VR to the shared...

68 Barracuda........ Temp and Gas Gauge Issue.

I installed the temp and gas gauges that I had picked up and tried to go back to the internal VR. I reinstalled the cluster into the car, and fired it up. I had pulsing power at the temp gauge sender connector and the oil and temp worked. Ran the car for about 5 minutes and the temp and oil...

    1968 Barracuda Convertible

Oh yeah, I also ended up needing to order another top cylinder. The "good one" leaks, so I need to wait for that to arrive and install it before I can finish the install on the rear interior. Probably a good time to try to fix that wonky top install. Allan

    1968 Barracuda Convertible

I was having issues uploading to Photobucket so I haven't bothered updating progress .... that seems to have now corrected itself, so here's a condensed update of recent progress As mentioned previously, the column had a ton of primer overspray on it. I sanded it down, did some masking, and gave...

68 Barracuda........ Temp and Gas Gauge Issue.

I've received a new (to me) gas gauge and temp gauge that I'll be installing. I want to stick with the RTE voltage regulator I bought so I'm wondering, do I need to take the fuel gauge apart to bend the arm as mentioned, or would putting an insulator on the back side of the gauge so it doesn't...

    1968 Barracuda Convertible

I also picked up the radio yesterday. It is now working and I had him install an Aux. connection also while he had it apart. It will at least allow me to play some music in the car as the only AM station in the area that plays music is a "traditional country" station............ how many times...

    1968 Barracuda Convertible

Another somewhat successful day. I'm missing a horn relay but I had jumped the plug at the relay connection and the horns worked. I didn't have continuity through the ground from the relay connection to the steering wheel connection. Doing a little tracing I had continuity to the column plug...

    1968 Barracuda Convertible

Another item off the to-do list. I picked up a pair of mini bulbs for the hood indicators off of eBay. I ended up having to rebuild the indicators as the feed wires were so brittle they disintegrated when I pulled the indicators apart. I ended up grabbing dash bulb wires with connectors from an...

    1968 Barracuda Convertible

I bought a kick down linkage from Tony's Mopar. Quick install and adjustment and the kick down now works. The 340 linkage he sold me worked perfectly with the 2 barrel setup from the 318. I did put a clip on the carb end prior to taking the car for a test drive Allan

68 Barracuda........ Temp and Gas Gauge Issue.

Ok, I now have a working oil gauge. The speed nut had a crappy connection. I had pulsing power on the gauge post but nothing on the speed nut or printed circuit. Removed the nut, sanded the face of the nut and cleaned up the board contact area and now the gauge works. As mentioned above I have...

68 Barracuda........ Temp and Gas Gauge Issue.

OK, received the RTE voltage regulator and installed it. I ran a secondary ground to the dash assembly to make sure that was not the issue. None of the gauges (gas/temp/oil) are reading. I have pulsing power on the circuit board lugs feeding power to the gas, oil and temp gauges. I do not...

    1968 Barracuda Convertible

The new top cylinder showed up so I got it installed and the system filled and bled. The top works great now. Would anyone have a photo showing how the hood indicator wiring is routed through the hood and out? Tried Googling images of engine bays and couldn't find anything. Thanks in...

Can you "fix" a bad top install?

Back home from STL and spent some time on the top today. The top cylinder was in the mail so I got the old cylinder out, the new cylinder in and the system bled. Top works great now. I took some photos of the top install. The driver's side curtain (if that's what you call it) definitely isn't...

    1968 Barracuda Convertible

Thanks for the heads up, but I don't believe JB weld is conductive. It's a two part epoxy. I will check just to be sure when I get back home next week. If it is I'll be sure to isolate it. Again, thanks for the coment.

It appears they're for the horn relay. They don't match the schematic I've got though. Obviously there were some changes through the production year....... or I've got a bad schematic. Allan
