    Valve lash adjustment

Thanks, I will see if I can feel a hole in the center of the pulley, I stick my finger in it and it felt like there was no hole, just rounded inside.

    Valve lash adjustment

Wow, this is alot more complicated then I thought it would be. I have adjusted my fair share of valves (never mopar, mostly 4cyl engines and small 4 strokes) why did they make it so complicated.

    Valve lash adjustment

Use the starter to turn the engine? How would I do that? I feel like it would turn to fast to get the valves lined up to adjust them.

    Valve lash adjustment

Well I popped my valve cover to adjust the valves tonight and ran into an issue....what do you use to turn the engine? There is no nut to put a socket on the crankshaft pulley and now I have no idea how to turn the engine on this motor. Also, I believe most people are setting the last to .012...

Front / read windshiled gasket replacemnt

I noticed a few spots on my windshield gaskets (front and rear) that don't look so good. I have had the car out in the rain yet but with all of the work I have been doing I don't want it raining inside of my car! Plus I would like to make sure there is no rust in the channels. How hard is it to...

    Can I eliminate this?

I don't have an EGR delete plate. Plus I hear it is "useful". I just want this stupid little canister gone

    Can I eliminate this?

If I can eliminate it with out problems in would be willing to part with it.

    Can I eliminate this?

No, I live in CT "antique" vehicles have no emissions or inspections. I'm not trying to remove the EGR, just the canister I'm pointing to. I believe it was on CA models only.
  13. tbr1806

    Can I eliminate this?

I have a 74 duster, it is a CA model and there is a solenoid or something that vacuum for the EGR passes through, not the vacuum amplifier. I have attached a picture, is there a way to delete this? It seems like unnessecary clutter to me.

    ICM question

I see that a 4 pin unit can be used with a dual ballast, can I say it is safe to just order the part number that is on my original ICM regardless of whether or not I need a 5 pin?

    Gauge cluster problem

Seems to be a few of the "bulb sockets" they felt like they were in place but the little tabs broke and the brass what on the backside of the PCB holding them in. Now to find them...

    Gauge cluster problem

I put my gauge cluster back in tonight and the lights in the cluster do not work. The blinkers work and so does the oil pressure light. I know the rhetostat is working because the radio light comes on and dims high/low. Am I missing a ground?

    Best Carb rebuild kit

I have one more question, what do you guys soak your carb in? I have never had one this bad! It had been sitting for quiet some time and is in really rough shape, I can't believe it was even running! I usually can get away with a brass brush and some carb cleaner in a can, this one will need to...

I want my car done but......

I'm just starting my first project car, things definitely can get over whelming. I tend to start small if I feel like working on it, a few bolts and nuts to start then it gets things going. Once I start I can't stop! If I hit a "wall" I will do as scamp suggest (except with some bourbon), I...

My first mopar 74 Plymouth duster

Not sure if this is "known" around here yet but my father showed me this when we use to work on cars. We use to use 3m marine restorer and polish on metal parts that were faded and had small spots of rust. Here is what it can do... My dome light had some small that spots and heavy build...

    Best Carb rebuild kit

Well, here we go....I got to looking at my carb tonight and noticed that there isn't much info on it. I have done a Google search and my carb has come up in a few different threads on several forums but noone seems to have a straight answer. The #'s I Googled are in the first picture. Can anyone...
