ok i have long tube/full length headers on my project now. judging by the pictures im going to post, do you guys think shorty headers would be a better fit? for the full length the fitment is pretty tight and not alot of space or ground clearance.. so ive considered going shorty to free up some...

why does everyone grade their transmissions by hp? doesnt torque actually kill a trans/rearend?

i think a 9 inch is a good idea over a certain level, i would lower that level if you were using a manual, since they are alot harder on the rears than autos are. i honestly think you would be ok with a 8 3/4 if you have an auto, there are plenty of guys making big hp with the ford 8.8s too...

i used the tabs or whatever they are called on top to make mounting points. i mounted a permacool fan on the front , the tabs are smaller than i would like. need more mounting surface but i needed the lower profile one. im sure a radiator shop could weld some mounting brackets on there.

summit has universals for around 150-200 their HP and direct fit ones are a little higher. some in the 500 dollar range. the rx7 should be quick.. aiming for 2800lbs with full interior and viper rear..may switch to solid.. not sure.. its gonna be tricky switching over to the viper rear...

summit sells griffin. i ordered one for my rx7 with 360 i had to go with 26x16 due to ground clearance issues. i paid 193 shipped.

i used the 3/8 aluminum line (used for fuel) from i think it was mancini. 20ish bucks for 25 ft roll.

what year trans is it? and is the output shaft going into the convertor beveled on the end (first quarter or 1/8th inch missing the splines?)

i think its the new diesel power (its that or diesel world) has a few writeups on how to modify first gen cummins. i have an idi, there are very few mods available.
