    Advice on rear swap

Any idea how big the center register is on a 8 1/4? I can measure my Cragars and see how much space I have for it. Leaning towards option 1 if All i have to do is take the drums and axles to a machine shop to drill for the SBP. Seems it would be cheaper than to have the E Body 8 3/4 cut to size...

    Advice on rear swap

Thanks for taking the time to give your opinion here. I want to get rid of the 7 1/4 next year when I swap my slant for a 360. Mild street car. I want to keep my SBP Cragars since I have new tires on and just did a disc brake conversion to keep the SBP on the front. (Scarebird) A local seller...

[WANTED] WANT TO BUY - Cragar Lug nuts for SBP. 7/16-20 .59 Shank OD. .75 Shank length

Thanks for looking @cudamark Think my best bet is to wait for @HemiSSDart to get back from Carlisle. @newmexguy It might be hard finding the SBP mag lugs since they are the small diameter. Here's a pic with the difference from .68 on the left and the .59 shank diameter on the right.

[WANTED] WANT TO BUY - Cragar Lug nuts for SBP. 7/16-20 .59 Shank OD. .75 Shank length

I'll call up the local Pepboys. The speedway motors link is the right size shank, but they are out of stock until at least July 30th. @cudamark lmk if you find 5 laying around you're willing to part with. The ones I have on the car right now take the 11/16 socket to get off. I only need 5...

[WANTED] WANT TO BUY - Cragar Lug nuts for SBP. 7/16-20 .59 Shank OD. .75 Shank length

Those are exactly what I need. Summit says they will ship out in October if ordered today. Really don't want to wait that long just to get a wheel mounted. If a member doesn't have 5 left over to sell I might just take some bigger ones to a machine shop to have them narrow up the shank. I...

[WANTED] WANT TO BUY - Cragar Lug nuts for SBP. 7/16-20 .59 Shank OD. .75 Shank length

The shank diameter for those that you listed are .68. Those will be too big to fit in through the wheel. Need it to be the .592 Shank Diameter. Thanks tho!

[WANTED] WANT TO BUY - Cragar Lug nuts for SBP. 7/16-20 .59 Shank OD. .75 Shank length

Going with the Scarebird conversion to keep my SBP Cragars. The kit came with new hubs so I need 5 right hand thread mag lugs for my wheels. They seem to be back ordered on Summit/Jegs/Amazon/ebay. If you have a few please let me know so I can finish up the conversion. Thanks! 7/16-20 Shank...

Torque Wrench on Pivot Shaft Nut

@dadsbee nice! That joint and extensions might do the trick! Still might grab some ramps to have. I used the POL rubber kit and refreshed everything. Can’t wait to finally get to driving this baby. Been off the road since 92.

Torque Wrench on Pivot Shaft Nut

Sometimes it just takes another set of eyes! Thank you for the tip. I'll buy some ramps and do it that way. Should have enough clearance to move my wrench and have the suspension loaded.

Torque Wrench on Pivot Shaft Nut

Almost done wrapping up the front suspension. Got the car back on her feet, set ride height and now I just need to torque the Pivot Shaft Nuts and strut ends. I was able to get a torque wrench on the drive side nut going from the top down. (Slant Six). I just don't see how I can keep the car...

    Spindle bad?

Hey Y'all, I'm in the process of a front suspension rebuild with the POL rubber kit for my 66 Dart. Looking at the passenger side spindle I noticed some marks on it. Maybe pitting? Is this cause for concern? Will this mess with my new bearings or cause scraping noises? Any suggestions on if I...

    Quick question about the block

Thanks for the advice. I was hoping perhaps I could get a Dutra front and cut this manifold in half and do the suggested plate welded to it. I think the crack might be too far across tho. Do what this is on the slant block? There is a hole here that doesn't seem like it should be there. I might...

    Quick question about the block

So, been doing some refreshing on the Dart to get her back on the road. Been a few years as things have come up. While checking out the driver side of the block, I noticed a hole that had some fluid in it. Is this normal? What is that for? Pictures attached. Also, noticed a nice crack in the...

    Spare Tire Question

Thanks for the reply. I guess I was worried that having a smaller tire would be an issue under the temporary driving if I should happen to get a flat.

    Spare Tire Question

Hello, I'm nearing the end of my 66 Dart project and have a simple question. I have 14" Cragar rims with the SBP. I've put 215 70/14 tires all the way around. Will I need to have a 14" rim as a spare or would it be ok to use the stock 13" steelie? If i use the 13" should I get a tire for it...
