1968 Dodge Dart GT Sleeping Beauty?

If you look at a 67, it has rectangular front turn signals, 68 went round (very cool), 69 realized 67 was the coolest so they went back to rectangular! See 67 is the coolest of them all!

What was installed prior to wheel well sound Deadener? 71-2 Demon

67 dart factory undercoat unrestored This red cir has no undercoat on it. It looks like a support was there while the undercoat was applied. Looks like the engine, trans, drive, shaft, e brake cable, fuel tank were not installed at the time. The brake and fuel lines are all coated and...

Solve the puzzle? Draining converter with Magnum flex plate

Take out the starter. Rotate the tq till you can see the drain plug. Remove the drain plug, have a magnet on a stick on hand. Rotate converter till drain plug is down. Reverse the process and clean up the mess. You might want to get some paint thinner and an appropriate pump to flush out...

    Steering coupler drift pin question

I can see buying a disposable tool from HF, but a roll pin that could potentially fail and kill you????? Just saying!

    Steering coupler drift pin question

Came out of a 69 Barracuda with manual steering or a 67 dart with power steering. A #10 drill bit goes down the inside of the pin with ease A #6 drill bit goes in a 1/4 inch then stops It used a 5/16 roll pin punch. @dadsbee nailed it!

Brake Improvements - Looking for thoughts

1 inch master is stock for KH front disk. 15/16 master gives more pressure to the calipers. The pressures front to rear without a proportioning valve should be the same. My dart has 215 70 14 tires all 4 corners. I can't say I have tried to lockup the fronts but the brakes are much different...

67 68 backup light actuator pin. Not mine.

Yes and no. That's really not that expensive. The NOS I bought was 80.00 I made some out of aluminum and stainless and they seemed to be functional and strong enough. The center pin was problematic but I could have solved that. I even thought about tapping threads for a screw in pin rather...

Without documentation it is whatever you want it to be. I have been lucky, I stay in the 67 year and the IBM cards are available for that.

    Bucket seats.

66 and 67 A body use the same frame and backs / sides, I don't know about the slides. 67 ( maybe 66?) B body uses the same seat frame, the backs are different, the chrome at the top of the seat backs is wider. I believe the sides are the same as well. The slides are most likely not the same.

    Engine dies when warm

Sound a bit like a vacuume leak or no vac advance. Vacuume leak because when choked it runs fine Choke adds fuel to a vacuume leak engine. No vacuume advance or vacuume advance on the wrong port. If no vac advance, giving gas will tend to cause the engine to die Vacuume advance on the wrong...

    68 GTS hood lettering

That would be awesome But.. The "T" sits too high and it's bottom pin is higher than the "S"s bottom pin so that would put the "S" even higher if it was in the center position. But I would still try it! There is also a possibility that the GTS letters pins are not correct? But... The...

Looking for 70 Dart info with missing fender tag.

Unortunately without a build sheet or an IBM card or the window sticker you are most likely out of luck. The vin will give you the engine, factory and a few more tidbits like if it was a high medium or low dollar car. Basically without the other info, the build of the car is lost. There are...

    Calling all steering column gurus

I have a 67 dart, PS, floor shift, steering column. And a 68 barracuda, manual steering, column shift, steering column I want to swap the manual steering shaft into the PS steering column. I have read the FSM, seems pretty straight forward. Any tips? I know I could get an adapter, or...

10" Drum Brake Hard Line Challenge
