More patches today... I’m getting tired of this stage of the project. Still not quite finished but I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel instead of through the rust holes :D

I’ve used panel-bond before, it’s great stuff but all these patches are getting welded.

Well I’ve managed to get back into the shed now the travel restrictions have eased a little. My goal is to get the inner cowl panel finished up so I can get some paint on it before spot welding the upper cowl back on, then I will prime everything from the windscreen forward.

Removing the rear quarter revealed even more rust but it really wasn’t as bad as I was expecting. So I got to work cutting and patching.

In Australia the VG Valiant coupe was available as a limited run (200 I believe) with the longer rear pillar like the Brazilian Charger. It was sold as the Valiant Regal Mexicana

Next up I decided to tackle the removal of the rear quarter. It came off really easily because there was very little still holding it on :(

Yeah it’s certainly keeping me busy. These photos are a few months old, it’s changed a bit since then, I’ll keep posting over the next couple of days until I’m up to date. Then any new progress will have to wait for the Covid-19 lockdown to be over.

Now I mentioned that this car had some rust issues... The left rear quarter is by far the worst part, but the lower front guards (fenders) are gone too and the sills (rockers) are pretty sad too. No doubt I’ll find plenty more problems as I go :BangHead:
