Aftermarket ignition ...do you really need one?

I will agree, unless you have some wiss-bang high power engine as stated above. Basic electronic ignition, set it and forget it for a normal streeter. My last build I just left it with points. I only drive it occasionally anymore.

63 Dodge Dart Windlace- 4 Door Length

If you don't care if the windlace does not have fabric/rubber I bought mine from Rock Auto for a 80's Dodge Ram truck. I did 2 cars a 2 door 64 Dart and a 4 door 63 Belvedere. Very good product. At the time it was only $13 per door instead of the fabric type that is well over $100 a set.

It's time to have a serious discussion about end-of-life priorities

I am a organ donor. I may be too old when I go,so I doubt they will want anything. All I know is I want to go before my wife. Without her I will be lost.

    Best procedure lugs into hub/rotor

If the press is handy use it. Last resort is to hammer them in.If you do, support the hub/rotor from the front with a large socket or the like for the stud to protrude out while tapping them in from the back. You want the least amount of distortion.

    Kickdown lever

5.0 and was considered the Hemi lever.I always ran them till I was getting a valve body from A&A. They said a 4.2 was the way to go.The shift seems not as harsh as the 5.0 but still a firm shift.

LETS C UR SELF MADE DASH CLUSTER

I hate the term Rat Rod So I'll just use beater. Low buck dash of miss match gauges. My 64 Dart was a desert car so anything plastic was turned to dust when I found it. Not pretty but works.Steering wheel was from a boat that a guy was scrapping. It did get a new wheel before the car was sold.

    Hei conversion

Not with Davis Unified Ignition as now you have a chevy distributor modified to fit a Mopar. Did you buy the car this way? Did it run ? You are gonna do a bit of investigation on what and what has not been eliminated in the wiring. Can't help you with that. The DUI does not use a ballast just a...

    New heads

Tho I run stock heads on my 318,lots of guys are going with Speedmaster because of price. Too many horror stories about out of the box heads having flaws is why many pull them apart and check them out completely. Even good names such as Edelbrock and Trickflow . I bought a set of Mopar...

    Skinny Wheel/Tire Fitment 68 Barracuda

A 5'' wheel will have a 2.5'' backspace 6'' usually has a 3.25 backspace. Offset can be,usually negative for our old cars. I believe offset and backspace are one in the same as it is being measured from the centerline of the rim measured on the back side of the rim's surface lip to mounting...

    Skinny Wheel/Tire Fitment 68 Barracuda

Those would work as 26'' tall is fine on a a body. You may have to set the torsion bars up or down for front fender lip clearance when turning. All depends on how you want the car to sit. Do you have the rims ? A 15x 4.5'' or 5'' wide will work with a 6'' wide tire. The photo is for reference...

    What would you do

I will say do the Slant 6 swap into the better body. The money is already invested. Unless you are into being original you can make a trunk floor and floor pans for the rusty car at your leisure. If you even want to keep the rusty car. My 2 cents.

Buy a car without physically seeing it

Like anything else it is a 50/50 chance. Best is you can look the cars over and decide if you want to bid or not. Many times the sellers bring ringers to drive the price up. I must say I have seen cars sold very reasonable. Last is you have to pay a buyer's fee of 10% of the winning bid. I...

    Vintage Alignment Systems

I worked in a shop with a Beam Visualiner. Told the boss several times that they needed a calibration. Yep, I was told "It don't matter once they hit the first pot hole." Poor excuse in my book. I was young and wanted to do the job right.
