    727 tf slipping when cold

Might have been tied back before i change shifter. I also had the carb of at some point so I probably removed anything holding the linkage back. So I take it from the replies here that I need to install the linkage and pray there are no permanent damage :)

    727 tf slipping when cold

I see, well I barely left the graage 2 times before deciding not to risk it. Hopefully I havent fried anything. Ill get to mount the Lokar then. But there was no kickdown on the car before and it worked okay I guess. Tie the linkage way back you mean? Thanks for the reply :)

    727 tf slipping when cold

Hi So I recently changed the the shifter from a home-made thing to a B&M cable. I also changed the oil and filter while I was at it. Now the car needs al lot of RPM to barely move when its cold, and the shifting is really wierd. Like suddenly shifting to neutral while driving, then back again...

    340 runninng lean and overheating

Thank you both, good tips :) Will air out the radiator and the servo later today. As for why my car does not have a overflow container, which it dosen`t, I believe the car originally had a slant 6 and has been later converted to a 340. Not 100% sure of this but it seems likely right?

    340 runninng lean and overheating

So instead of replying to all you nice people, I just want to give an update. Started the engine sine I was going to upload a short clip. Fiddled a little with the distributor cap and fired it up. Sounds completly different. No idea why, but if I where to guess, the cap could not have been...

    340 runninng lean and overheating

The gas smells good to me, but I might as well change it, worth a try! I did use start gas here and there when I first fired it up, and did not hear any rise in rpm. But I will do another try :) The car has been in a insulated garage all winter, with stable temps never dropping below frezzing...

    340 runninng lean and overheating

Hah, yeah pretty sure I`d spot a ferry breaking into my garage, but I can see the wife theory being worth investing :)

    340 runninng lean and overheating

After a easy, very short drive every part in the engine was extremly hot, and the water was "fizzing" boiling like. The water temp gauge was climbing rapidly so I turned around and shut it off. Maybye I was a bit overreacting but it did not feel right.

    340 runninng lean and overheating

Bad gas like in poor fuel quality? The fuel in it now is 98 octane (supposedly) and has been sitting in the tank since, october last year possibly.

    340 runninng lean and overheating

Hi So I have been lurking around this forum for quite some time now, after buing my first v8 powered car last year. It`s a 340 powered 71 dart, wich last year, ran fine. It has an edelbrock inlet maifold and QFT carb. For the winter I wanted to mount headers, wich proved to be quite a challenge...
