    69 Barracuda dash help/opinions

Same. I won’t get it back to original, but i want to at the very least achieve a look that says “1969 Americana” rather than “The Fast and Furious.”

    69 Barracuda dash help/opinions

I managed to get the tach loosened up first, by reaching up blind and unscrewing a clamp. Once that was pulled forward I reached through the tach hole (sounds dirty) to get the center fuel gauge completely out. The speedo was next. I have the gauges all pulled out of the bezel now, but the width...

    69 Barracuda dash help/opinions

Spent a little time out there today. Miserable miserable job. I have the wipers, lights, hazards, radio, lighter all disconnected and out of the way. Heat control is still in the way a bit. Got the tach loose but i don’t see how to remove it completely. Also, lots of little bulbs are soldered...

Thanks fellas. I think i have my solution. Which is sort of a non solution. Probably too much time and money to replace these gauges. I will have to live with them. However, i do want to pull the bezel and clean it up. Most likely hit it with a chrome/silver spray after i put a plate over the...

200mph indeed but god only knows how accurate it is. I don’t have the roads to wind ‘er up much. I don’t even think I’ve hit the right side half of the speedo. I’ll never understand why people do certain things to certain cars. I’ll check DMT for a radio delete plate. Thanks. It seems like...

    69 Barracuda dash help/opinions

trying to decide what the best course of action here with the dash. I really hate the gauges but i don’t know how much difficulty it would be to mess with them. I would probably be ok with decals for everything that look close to stock, and i could find a way to paint the needles. Ideally I’d...

Here are the gauges. Not the worst, but it all seems a little too out of place. Someone clearly hacked apart the dash because this head unit wouldn’t fit the dash trim, and i see a few different types of screws holding in the trim. The tach is held in by what feels like a single pin connector up...

With how i have to shift, google is suggesting it’s a manual reverse valve body actually. Thanks, i learned something already. i guess it makes sense, with having the line lock, the smaller gas tank, extra gauges, and some huge low hanging headers. It’s basically set up to drive as fast as...

Compared to others, price doesn’t seem unreasonable to me. I’ve seen a few bigger ones with the wood grain. Would ideally love to find something with a Plymouth or fish emblem in the center.

thank you. The gauges are functional but they don’t fit quite right, they rattle around at times, and they just look out of place. To me it doesn’t fit the aesthetic of the car. I’ll try getting more pics of the cluster and such. I was originally thinking of going all black on the guts cuz...

Hey all, had this car nearly two years and finally got around to joining. it’s a 69, originally a 318 now with a 340. The trans is a 3spd auto with some sort of kit in it i believe, but i know nothing about it. It doesn’t seem to shift on its own. Prior owner put a tiny gas tank in, a line...
