    In the 80's Blackjack AK5000 headers were coated with some chalky white stuff that supposedly contained aluminum to resist corrosion. Maybe what youre thinking of.

    Don't confuse "asking price" with "sold" price. The Duster I have now the guy was asking $4K - I bought it for $1700. Everything on a project car is always worse than you think and costs more than you expect.
