Its off a 71 340 but the number (6139) says its for a 72 340

The rods both have two steps The small diameter is longer on one rod. Didn't know if it was broken off or just a different length.

Rebuilding a thermoquad and had the top section soaking in Simple Green. When I took it out there was these two balls in the bottom of the pan. Does anybody have a idea where they might have came from? Also I noticed the metering rods are different lengths.

I drained 3 Gallons of Gas/Oil from it. Pulled the plugs and fogged the cylinders with oil. That had to take washing the cylinders to the next level. The guy had told me the carb was messed up and gas was running out the side of it.

I bought this car yesterday when I pulled the dipstick it was way over full and smelled like gas. This morning I thought I would try to get it started and see if the motor was any good Thats when I noticed the fuel line. I got a good laugh out of this

71 duster 340 4speed car. Tran is date coded early 67 Is this the wrong shifter ? tying to figure out why the crossmember had to be cut for clearance.

When you say "its not any good" how do you mean? Poor adhesion? Some bedliners are better than others, A catalyzed urethane on a properly prepped surface should last for my ever.

I have about the same plan for this slant 6 original fm3 car. What is your plan for the under side ? I'm thinking spray bedliner Looks like yours is an A/C car also. Do you plan on going back with it?

Yeah thanks everyone. I'm gonna drop the k member and rebuild it. Got a 8 3/4 for it. I want to roll it over on its side and clean up the bottom side and maybe spray bedliner under it. Oh yeah it's a 70 duster.
