[Found!] 90* oil filter adapter (from 273)

Looking for 90 degree oil filter adapter from 273 engine, so called "true 90" and not the "almost 90" which came from 340. Contact me if you have one available and are willing to ship overseas. Payment via Paypal.

    [FOR SALE] mopar garage sale

Is the oil filter adapter still available? It's hard to tell from the picture, is it true 90* degree or the "almost 90 degree" model?

    hedman fender well headers #75109 1 3/4"tubes

Did the snow ever melt? I'm looking for fenderwell headers for my -65 Valiant and would be interested in seeing pictures of different options. Current Hooker headers (which curl around frame rails) are just a constant nightmare, and I'm looking into replacing them with true fenderwells...

    1966 Barracuda Dash Bezel Restomod

Here's an update on my project! Mocking the -66 Barracuda cluster on -65 Valiant dashboard was a sack of sad news. Despite the similarities, the two clusters didn't have much common after all. I had already spent so much time and money on the project, I simply could not back down. Instead, I...

    Mirror identification

Yup, looks like you are correct! So far closest I have found are these Buick / Oldsmobile mirrors (looks like almost 1:1 to me) but they are out of stock :(

    Mirror identification

Yes, I'm perfectly happy also keeping this mirror on the drivers side. I'm just trying to figure out where that mirror came from, so I can try to source identical to put it on the passenger side.

    Mirror identification

That was my first idea as well, but the base on Mopar mirrors are much, much shorter than the one I currently have. I'm afraid there can me marks or outline of the larger base visible if it's replaced by smaller one.

    Mirror identification

Could you help me out identify this mirror? It's on -65 Valiant but I'd assume it's not an original since it's not a two post mirror. I have been looking at pictures of other old Mopar mirrors, but haven't found anything exactly like it so far. I'm looking to find a similar mirror to put on...

    1966 Barracuda Dash Bezel Restomod

I'm planning on using the metal frame also. That 60-year-old plastic seems very brittle, so I don't trust it alone to hold the gauges. I just need to figure out where and how much I need to cut away from the frame and the car, since Valiant instrument panel is so much narrower..

    1966 Barracuda Dash Bezel Restomod

Like other have said, they are mostly held in by friction. I had to Dremel the gauge openings larger, and I just went really slow, and test fitted the gauges often. That way I could get them to fit really snug. I'm also going to use the retainers that came with the gauges. For the small gauges I...

    1966 Barracuda Dash Bezel Restomod

Yup, after some more measuring and hard contemplating I ended up with the route to install all gauges on top of the plastic cover. It's not perfect, but I'm happy how it's turning out. And hey, it's not a show car! It's street / strip car so it's better if it's not too nice

    1966 Barracuda Dash Bezel Restomod

@cpreal how is your cluster project going? I'm currently eye-balling and measuring the cluster frame and the gauges, and I don't believe the 5" speedo and tach would fit under the plastic cover without trimming the bezel on the gauge itself :( I just might go the easy way, and install all the...

    early A body engine swap

What do you guys think, would these be better brackets than what I currently have? https://www.classicindustries.com/product/ma4695.html Just by eyeballing the pictures it looks to me those might be shorter, but I'm not sure and really don't want to waste 250 bucks (what those would actually...

    early A body engine swap

Thanks for all the tips! I still think I'm going to order some thinner mounts as backup, and then start tearing into it as soon as I get the car back home. I'm also keeping an eye out for the shorter engine brackets and even different set of headers.
  18. G

    early A body engine swap

That is the key information I've missed before, thanks! I need to look into the brackets as well. Edit: Or, my very first question is valid again. IF it looks like my current brackets are too high, could I work-around the issue just by changing the mounts into 2469 style thinner mounts, or the...

    early A body engine swap

Question then remains, if the transmission crossmember and mount are both correct, why is the engine sitting too high? Issue being, that the header tubes hit the frame rail from below. If the trans mount is broken (which is 100% possible looking at the state of the engine mounts  )...

    early A body engine swap

Both transmission and rear axle have been changed by the previous owner, so I don't have any facts about the installation available. I suspect that at least the axle is in stock location since car seems to have stock rear suspension, but naturally angle of the axle could be different than it...

@moparlvr166 here are some pictures of the transmission crossmember and rear suspension:

    early A body engine swap

I'll take a look at the trans crossmember and rear suspensions, and take some photos, next time I visit the car. It's on garage on other side of town during winter time so it might take some time, but I'll get back at you!

    early A body engine swap

Sorry, I don't have any knowledge about the stem seals.
  24. G

    early A body engine swap

Does the orientation of the mount affect the height where the engine will sit? Please check my previous photo: the issue I fear is that if the engine goes any higher, the header which curls under the frame rail, starts hitting the frame rail.

    early A body engine swap

I received the Anchor 2710 mounts, and the positive news is that they still do have the locking tabs also embedded in the rubber. Looks like the advertisement pictures are not correct. "Bad" news is that they are both thick and sturdy. I really afraid there is zero change for me to use these...
