Looking for some rings for my 340 that I’m freshening up. Reusing the .030 over TRW forged pistons. Low mileage since last rebuild but cylinder bores will get a hone at the machine shop. I see Hastings offers a steel top ring in some kits. What do you guys prefer? Thanks

Anybody get their hands on a set of these yet? I like the idea of stainless if you need to make a little clearance. No need to worry about the finish. I would think the installed fit should be as good as the standard D453.

Just looking to verify that my k frame is a DC. Many moons ago my Demon 340 had a big block. I actually returned a 340 into the car not realizing the k frame wasn’t right until I went to purchase motor mounts. I eventually got it to fit with offsetting the mounts on the ears of the engine and...

Remember it’s not a job and have fun and enjoy your build. At least thats what I tell myself.

Short term get it running so I can enjoy it. Need to go over brake and fuel lines. Replace fuel tank. Repair spare tire well since I’m pulling fuel tank. Plus what I already mentioned earlier. Long term body work, window mechanism overhaul, head liner etc. Probably a never ending project.

How difficult was it for you removing your fenderwells with the motor still in it? Keep up the good work.

This is a follow up to my introduction as we all like pictures. I pulled my engine over the summer and I’m almost ready to get it to the shop for hone and a valve job. Then my main goal is to replace the fender wells and prep the engine bay for engine reinstall. I’ve got parts stacking up...
