    Looking at a 1965 Dart 270 Convertible - Questions

Well the owner said to come at noon to look at the car, drove 3-1/2 hours and got there at 11:30 and another buyer was just leaving to go to the bank and get money. I did get a chance to give the car a quick once over, not bad but not as nice as the pictures. So it worked out well, I avoided...

    Looking at a 1965 Dart 270 Convertible - Questions

I am going to look at a 65 Dart Convertible tomorrow and have some general questions I hope someone can answer. The car is a slant six (225?) and 4-speed which the owner states is factory Hurst shifter. Was there a factory 4-speed Hurst shifter in a slant six and are there production numbers for...

    Stump Grinder Slant 6 Starter

I I have two 1964 Dodge trucks (slant 6 and 318 poly) and they both use a 3-bolt starter, they were used on manual transmission engines. They can be hard to find at local parts stores, but Rockauto.com has them. Search Rockauto for a 1964 D100 225 then pick a starter for a manual transmission.

    Alternator Overcharging

67Dar273- Thanks for the information The voltage for the Harness Test was 1.3V and the Ground check was less than 0.1V. So the problem seems to be the harness. I would like to try testing before commuting to a relay. My thought is to cut IGN1 coming out of the bulkhead and just temporarily...

    Alternator Overcharging

When checking the wiring on my under dash gauge lights I found the voltage with the car not running was a little over 11 volts, which seemed to match the volt gauge. I checked the battery and it read 12.4, with the engine running the gauge read around 13.5 but the voltage at the battery wad...

    Replacing Factory Shroud 1972 Dart

My recently purchased 72 Dart Swinger with factory air does not a a fan shroud. I purchased a new one and need to install it. Can it be installed with the fan and radiator in place or do I have to remove the radiator and/or the fan. Thanks

    1972 Dart Swinger Header

Thanks for the input. I called Headman and confirmed they will work on a 72 Dart column - shift Automatic only change will be the mini starter. I'll report back how it went after I have them installed.

    1972 Dart Swinger Header

Well I have decided to cur out the 20 year old Hooker long tube headers and replace them with Headman Tight Tube headers, already tiered of scraping the ground going in and out of driveways. From what I see the will fit the stock 318 in 72 Swinger with Power Seering without "too many" problems...

    1972 Dart Swinger Header

I’m thinking of going with a stock cast iron exhaust manifold. Would the following casting numbers fit this engine, 3830204-2 and 3870055. They have a date code of 1976.

    1972 Dart Swinger Header

I recently purchased a 1972 Dart Swinger with a 318, one of the previous owners seemed to be interested in performance, but I am more interested in a Cruiser/ Road Trip vehicle. The issues are that the car currently has long tube Hooker headers and an 8 Quart Milodon oil pan. Bothe of these are...

New to the Site -72 Dart Swinger

I just joined the site, new owner of a 1976 Dart Swinger, it is fairly stock, 318, 904 and factory AC. I've owned/own a number of Mopars over the years, looking forward to using this site. Thanks Mike
