I checked the control arm bolt and it’s in to the hilt. And I’m pretty sure R goes on the passenger side and L on the driver side. Like I said before, there’s a 1/4 inch difference between the right and left side. That would be more than enough to get the snap ring in. I’m not sure what I’m...

I did rebuild the control arms and they look good. However I just measured and the passenger side is 28 and 1/2 and the driver side is 28 and 3/4. That’s the 1/4” I need. I guess that means my K frame isn’t square. You would still think it would go back in since it came out of there!!

I thought that also so I took it back out and there wasn’t anything in there. I think I’m going to measure the distance between the control arm and the face of the hole it comes through in the frame.

I hit it with a 15lb !! It didn’t budge!

What would cause this? The driver side TB goes in about a 1/4 of an inch farther than the passenger side. I can’t get the snap ring on the passenger side in at all. They both came out easily. I measured the control arm socket to make sure it went in all the way. It acts like the K frame is not...

Automatic.(fat fingers). Nothing is simple. I guess I’ll just try to find a 66 console. I’m sure there can’t be many good ones to be had without paying an arm and a leg. I have time to look. I’m still trying to finish my front suspension. That should keep me busy until spring.

So 66 had a different console. The center hump in mine doesn’t look very wide. Like FishyPete said, l probably need a picture of the mounting brackets. Thanks for the pictures. Now I just have to find a decent one!

I ordered new bushings for my 66 Cuda and they don’t fit. It says they’re supposed to be 1 1/2 but the front of my spring measures 2”. I’m not sure what’s going on. Did they put different springs in them? Any thoughts?

Thanks a lot. I got them out today but my bushings are the wrong size. I bought them for a 66. The bushings I ordered are 1 1/2,mine are 2” in the front. Someone must have changed the springs I guess. Would the shackle bushings be the same? I’m not sure what to do.

I just bought a 66 Barracuda and it needs all the suspension replaced. On the front of the rear shackles there are nuts, are those studs, because the other side looks to be round? Also I’m assuming you have to take the mounting brackets off to get the shackles off. Leave it to Chrysler Thanks...
