    .got a built 340 in a 71 Demon, it has about 13.5 to 1 compression ratio, if I run 91 octane fuel in it, it seems to run hot (210 deg.) on a 60 degree day, Ive got a 160 degree high per. thermostat in it.     727 kickdown

    Got a question. Just finished putting a 3500/4000 converter in my built 340 demon, has manual forward valve body, when shifting from 1st to 2nd kind of slides into 2nd gear. With previous converter, stock I think it would chirp the tires, what gives? ( has no kickdown linkage)
