The beast is dead! :-( Unfortunately, I got frustrated with head gaskets and customization and sold off the parts for the latest EFI/turbo iteration. I'm going back to a reliable old V8 setup :) 318 to 390 stroker w/ bolt on EFI, shooting for 400+ engine HP and turn key daily driving.

The biggest thing I would change is spending the money to have an MLS head gasket cut. I hear Cometic is accommodating this now but I haven't followed up. I'd also go with a big turbo, the /6 heads don't flow well so the more flow the turbo has the better (plus bigger turbos = lower boost for...

That link looks perfect. Most of the used /6 sticks I've found, people are charging just as much. Thanks for all the tips, everyone. This should work!

[Found!] Early-A 225 Slant Six Headers

Hi All, I'm in search of slant six headers for an early a body. Looking for some short tube if any exist or maybe somebody has one-off a set. I plan to use them with an Offy/Clifford intake manifold. Looking to pay less than $350. Thanks!

Sizing turbo for slant 6 powerwagon

A stock engine won't have any issue spinning up any of these turbos. They are okay picks but I would recommend a T3/T4 50 trim or 60-1. These will run much lower pressure and make more power. As for the gears, I'd go with a much higher gear for any of these turbos, nothing over 3.55 unless...

    Which Oil Dipstick?

Hi All, I have a '66 Dart with a '71 slant 225 installed. Ages ago I broke my dipstick and I finally want to replace it but have no idea where to source one. Does anyone know what will work? I've looked on eBay and there are very specific year/body auctions but nothing that seems to match my...

Quick update on this ancient thread: it's been the better part of year and I finally bolted up the head gasket / fire ring solution to mixed results. The combustion chambers are sealed up and by my estimation bulletproof, I'd wager they could handle 40-50 PSI. However, the tolerances were a bit...

The car is built with modern sensors (crank position, knock, iat, etc.) and using an ems so detonation won't be a an issue because we have full visibility and control over fuel and timing. It's going to be mostly a street car so full alchohol isn't desirable due to the things we've mentioned...

Thanks, Bill. The flex fuel sensor and AEM EMS will handle adjustments for alcohol % on the fly. I'm a bit worried about the long term effects on the gas tank but I got a fuel pump and injectors rated for e85, and redid all the lines. It should be pretty reliable, until it's not, lol...

    What fuel system to use

You will be okay with a walbro 255 and a 1:1 fpr, mallory 4309 is great, anything like it will work 5/8 hard line with a return will be good for tons of hp, like 700 with this pump. That's about it for a really good setup.

The 32R I am using has an internal waste gate. I am going to bore out the diameter as big as I can, maybe even slightly larger than the flapper. Somebody have a /6 in at Maurer's Performance prepping for a turbo build?

Dennis does great work. Since I've gotten my /6 running I've over boosted my engine to 20+ PSI which should have put north of 500+ ft lbs of torque down to the wheels. The head gasket popped but the bottom end didn't even care. Spins like a top still.

Turbo Slant Six Dyno - 1st Attempt

I have to agree here. The /6 head just doesn't flow nearly enough and needs tons of lift to get close to a modern head. They won't spin nearly as fast either. Hopefully they are as bullet proof as we hope :-) I'd hate to see my bottom end in the scrapper.
