My car (74 Scamp 225 /6) dies when I give it to much gas. My friend said I should check the filter where the fuel line connects to the carb. I replaced the metal cylinder filter on the line itself but is there any additional filter inside the carb? Also, I bought some of the fuel system...

I tried driving it out with a large center punch. I even used wood wedges so the whole thing would not shake. Still will not move.

I know (now) that I have to hit it towards the driver side window. So, from the bottom. I started this and progress is really slow. I hit it from the wrong side a little too much and forced it out a little bit. I'll get this replaced today and ad any questions if this does not fix the problem.

Alright the blinkers are working good now. The new problem is it won't start. I replaced the fuses, the neutral safety switch, and the starter relay but it still won't even turn over. I am going to try and replace the ignition switch but the pin (holding the locking plate) is really stuck...

Haha nothing I was just really tired. I'm not complaining and I'm still in school. Moral of the story: don't take a long brake from something you enjoy it will kill your momentum (in progress)

I got the metal collar off and some people said to use a tool that screws on to the column and you tighten a c shaped bracket to "release the pressure" on the pin. Haha ironically I was just pushing it the wrong way. The first night my dad tried to force the pin (the wrong way) and now it is...

Well this is my daily driver and I need to replace the ignition switch tonight. I have the column apart but there is a pin holding the locking plate in place. I have the tool to relieve the pressure but it does not do anything. I tightened it so tight that the tool started to bend. The pin will...

I will replace all of the light bulbs over this weekend and get that checked out. The only thing on the dash that works is the e-brake light and the blinker lights. Progress Update: Blinkers now work; but the car still won't even turn over so I will have to check the stuff under the dash like...

Well I have confirmed that I have the right switch. Thanks to you Oklacarcollecto and the two sites I have confirmed it thrice fold. Now I need to find out what the bugs-bunny mechanic (previous owner aka latin witch-doctor lol) did to that second plug!
