    "Mopar Militia"

This is Gary Hansen. We race an NHRA SuperStock, 1968 Dart. My son and his family fell victim to the economic down turn and he lost his job. Rather than sit around and feel sorry for himself, he is starting a graphics business. He can do custom vinyl and T-Shirts. Together we started a...

Cuda is "Right On"............Mopar guys would be wise to read his post, then read it again.

I can't figure it out, maybe you can?

It seems the logical thing would be something that you changed out, and not something that is coincidental. Since you changed valve springs, are they weaker than the originals? Are you floating the lifters? Do you have adjustable rocker arms? If so, double check how you set them. Good luck

Any tips, new to drag racing?

67GTX is exactly right...........just throw a bunch of money at it and it will go fast. Seriously, if you want to go fast, just add juice........then you blow the engine. Build the engine the right way.......then you tear up trans and rear ends. Their is really no cheap way to go fast (and...

    Bump Steer

I have had the same issue with my Dart. It is not fun to come back to earth and have the front end shake.......... I ended up limiting the front end travel (with aluminum spacers under the bump pads) to 2-3". I also put a bump pad in the underneath to keep from bending the oil pan. I also...

    Weight Transfer and Suspensions

OK.........Guys, try the "Poor Boy" traction aid. In the early 70's (yes, I'm that old), Chrysler forbid us from using any traction devices other than SS Springs and snubbers, if we wanted any support from Chrysler. What many of us did is use flat iron and clamp it on top of the front section...

PFogel, you are right on track. Also, Ronnie Sox was my hero. Below is a picture of my 1969 Roadrunner that I bought new and made a race car out of. (I still have the car). Think it looks a little like a Sox and Martin Car???? ha ha. I am also attaching the National Records from 1969. You will...

    Weight Transfer and Suspensions

I didn't read every thread to this question, however, when you talk about Super Stock springs and using pinion snubbers, you are talking about technology that is 40 years old. The starting spot is with GOOD adjustable shocks, front and back. Cal Tracs and split monoleaf springs from Cal Trac...

    transbrake with caltracs, help

I had a similiar problem with my Dart. What was happening was the shocks were reaching full extension when the front end was in the air. I also use Cal Tracs and Rancho 9000. I firmed the rear shocks all the way to determine that was the problem. I then backed (softened) the shock off until...
