I built a mini harness and ran it through the hole the old speedo cable came through (I went with the electric speedo). Not to sure about the accuracy vs. mechanical but I do like the electric speedo in that you calibrate by driving and not have to find the gear for the tranny

It looks like you have the metal bracket on the wrong way. The tabs should point to the gauge face. Then you could mount it in a panel. I am not sure if a gauge intended to be mounted in a panel can be mounted in a cup.

I am not sure what the arm rest is out of the buckets and the arm rest were in the car when I bought it. sorry I can't help you out.

It wasn't any cheaper but i thought the two color look would match with the rest of the car

I think the biggest thing is with the layouts of the gauges they offer, the area is just to large, as compared to stock. So every thing else must be moved over.

I had to cut my openings as well but, i was expecting to, it did say this was not a direct replacement for factory

Had them done at an upholstery shop

I just ordered mine and can post some pics when it arives

It was a while since i changed mine but, it was just behind or above the drivers side kick pannel.
