Thanks for the tip cudamark. The transmission is in the process of being rebuilt, so it should be here before it's ready to ride. But, still a clever trick, keep it in mind.

Think I figured it out guys, appreciate the help. It's the torque shaft bracket bushing. Guess I was told wrong on the Z-bar part.

Where the Z-bar shaft goes into the bracket that mounts to the transmission. There is supposed to be a bushing of some sort. Can't find it at any local store, and can't seem to find it on the internet. Maybe it's not called a bushing or has some special name. Or maybe it's that hard to find...

That makes sense, I know it's not the original rear end... Can't imagine 9" drums all the way around. Guess that's why they were called the panic brakes. lol

My 73 Dart has 9" drums in the front and 10" in the back. All big bolt pattern. Was originally a slant 6...
