Thinking about parting ways with my A body, give me opinions on what I should ask for it.

Bastrop county. I have receipts from 98 to today. Tons of pics somewhere also from the last time it was apart. I sold a 73 Dart years ago, needed floors, quarters, trunk pan, a sail panel. Seat was shot and it leaked. /6 auto, 8 3/4 with new tires and disk brakes were the only positives on the...

Thinking about parting ways with my A body, give me opinions on what I should ask for it.

Asking, but Mopars have always been way overpriced in Texas. They just aren't as common as Fords and Chevys down here.

Thinking about parting ways with my A body, give me opinions on what I should ask for it.

Considering the prices people are asking down here for pretty some rough cars(slant 6 and 318 cars) it should be worth more then $5K.

Thinking about parting ways with my A body, give me opinions on what I should ask for it.

I'd have to clean it up and get some detailed pics of it anyway to give you guys an accurate idea of it's shape.

Thinking about parting ways with my A body, give me opinions on what I should ask for it.

Hence the reason for the thread. I know my emotional attachment is worth exactly zero to a potential buyer. As much as I would love to have $20K for the car I know it isn't worth it. I was thinking it would be worth around $8K for everything, but I know literately nothing about the current...

    Fiberglass disappointment

Wow, that's a shame. Mine bolted up with no issues. Course I bought it in 2007.

Thinking about parting ways with my A body, give me opinions on what I should ask for it.

It's a 70 with a mild 360. 72 block, J heads, .030 over, about 9.5:1 compression, Edelbrock Airgap intake, Demon 625cfm carb, MP electronic distributor, and a Comp 268 cam (if I remember correctly, I'd have to dig up the cam card). 727 was rebuilt about 15 years ago (no leaks), good steels and...

    Short video of my car.

I used the mount that came with my Go Pro: http://gopro.com/camera-mounts/suction-cup-mount/ Just stuck it to the inside of the windshield. It's a pretty awesome little setup IMO.

    Diesel A body

Probably need some serious suspension and frame work as those diesels are not light at all.

    Free revs in drive??

Are you letting it idle in neutral for a few seconds before you go to "D"?

    Short video of my car.

It was due for it's state inspection, so I decided to put the Go Pro in it since I didn't have any video of it yet. Dart drive.m2ts - YouTube

    water outlet torque specs?

I never torqued mine down to any specific spec. If you are just using the o-ring alone I'm not surprised you have leaks cause that happened to me. I had to use a gasket coated in rtv to get the leaks to stop.

Anyone here have experience with bend-pak lifts?

Those old caddies are no joke either!

Anyone here have experience with bend-pak lifts?

Yeah, my Dad got one about ten years ago when I still lived with them and I got spoiled real quick with it. I remember pulling the transmission out of my 89 Mustang in like one hour, I'd never pulled a manual before, and I took time. My only gripe was that I couldn't swap the pig on my Dart with...

Anyone here have experience with bend-pak lifts?

Hmm, hadn't thought of that, it probably wouldn't get along real well with the long tubes on my Dart and the wife's Stang. I guess if I get it cheap enough it'll be OK since her DD and my WRX are a pain to get jacked in the air. If he wants too much for it I'll just get a two post like I...

Anyone here have experience with bend-pak lifts?

Yeah I want a four post like that too. I was originally planning on getting a two post and a four post, but if I can get this one cheaper then I can get the four post sooner.

Anyone here have experience with bend-pak lifts?

Well I think I can pick it up for around $600 or so. I was going to buy a two post someday, but mostly just for suspension and brake work. If i can score this one for as cheap as I hope I can get a four post later (like I want anyhow). I got the space covered. My garage is 1200sqft with 16' ceiling.

Anyone here have experience with bend-pak lifts?

There is a guy local to me that has this model for sale: http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_126122_126122 Anybody here have one or used one? I figure it would be pretty useful for when I have to do suspension and brake work on my wife's Golf and my Subaru since they don't...

    Bought a new car

My Dad tried to start it for me so it wouldn't be sitting for so long and he couldn't get it to fire. After trying to do some sneaky over the phone trouble shooting it looks like the fuel pump is the problem. Someone at some point put an electric fan and fuel pump on it, and ran them off the...

Yeah, I need to put seat belts in it too. I was in it for almost five hours and the seats didn't seem to uncomfortable. Thanks for all the compliments guys. :)

    Bought a new car

It is an original 6 cylinder car, someone went through the trouble of converting it. I wanted to get her an original V8 car, but this one had the cleanest body I could find in my price range. It looks to be done right though, other then the fact that whoever did the conversion put drums on it...

    Bought a new car

Snuck out of the house a couple weeks ago and picked this up: Hope the wife likes it, since it is her anniversary present. I'm going to give it to her next month. It's a 67 T code car with a 302/3 speed/9" and all new suspension underneath. It needs about a thousand little things...

Took the Dart to the track for the first time in 9 years

Just finished up extending the shroud on the Dart, it wouldn't hold a shop towel on the rad when it was running, now it'll suck em up onto the grill. Gotta go out and try it to see how it does tomorrow. Its ghetto fabulous, but it works.

    Duster was totalled

Sorry for your loss man, glad to hear you and your son at least seem to have come out of it OK. I almost got hit head on by a minivan on my way to the track the other day because of some idiot, can't imagine how angry I would be. ETA: just saw the pics. Aw man, what a heart breaker, that...

Took the Dart to the track for the first time in 9 years

Oh yeah, I know if I can get the gears/tires/converter matched up the car has 13's in it pretty easy. Ironically I can launch my 5 speed mustang on street tires a lot better then I could the Dart. Dart has some super cheap highway radials on it though, they are just awful.

Took the Dart to the track for the first time in 9 years

Last night I took my 70 to the track for the first time since 2000. Best et: 14.31 @ 94 mph with a 2.19 60ft Best trap: 14.43 @ 97.74 with a 2.39 60ft Car is totally out of balance and the tires must be made out of axle grease, first gear was completely useless, which is ironic...
