Did not realize 3 speeds were avail. in E bodies..............

is it just me, or does that transmission look a little funny to be in an E body?( no rear mount) I believe even the three speed needed the rear mount for the shifter, front mount for the B body. I can't swear to it though. The driver sits further back in an E body, hence the shifter sits back...

    Let's See Your Mopars.. again

thanks! The demon is a very nice example, and has the original paisley Interior and rubber floors. It has 70k actual, and is a slant six auto.It could go coast to coast with ease, and never runs out of gas! I was at the local dodge dealer with it getting a Battery for my truck, when two young...

    4 door mopar cars

Take a close look, When Mopar Installed The factory A/C On the 1969 V8 Darts, they also came heavy heavy duty cooling, a radiator shroud with the 340 Part Number, as well as 340 Torsion Bars. The car should have the 5'5 rims as well. Mine came with all that from the factory, the tip off is...

    NO CLASSIC CARS

ouch, any old thing? You obviously have spent no time looking at old cars in person, and don't know what you are looking at when you do, sir. and likely have no previous experience in restoring one, if you did you would know better.

    NO CLASSIC CARS

The member is clearly not a buyer, but the good ending for me was another poster loved my Dart and wanted to buy it. But by then I realized all the patience and hard work I put in the Dart should not result in it going down the road. So, I declined, and Intend to keep the car. It is likely the...

    NO CLASSIC CARS

I can say that in my opinion the status of the hobby now is if it has been properly painted, the car is worth X price, no matter the style. If the car needs to be redone, no matter how rare it is or what model it is, deduct 10k. I am getting ready to paint my 69 Cuda,A rust free straight as an...

    NO CLASSIC CARS

here is a good example: I have a beautiful original numbers matching Dart with 273 V8 and A/C. lifetime desert car, with maybe 200 miles on it since I rebuilt the whole car. I have had it 16 years,, but nope, a four door, don't want it.

    NO CLASSIC CARS

25k? 30K? what is the difference? A beautiful Blue 68 GTS and it isn"t the right car? It seems posting is more fun than actually buying something.

Watch A Resurrected Mopar Engine Go Kaboom On The Dyno

it was just a young guy trying to do his best, and an older friend with a dyno trying to to help him without Interfering. I wish I had a friend with a dyno when I was a punk kid.

    4 door mopar cars

the 3.6 challenger at least in 2016 was tested on the track to be 14.3-14.6. My 69 340 Dart in 1969 was tested in numerous magazines @14.3-14.9 depending on driver. Good enough for me.

    4 door mopar cars

I didn't care for the four door Charger, but they are the number one selling passenger car in America. Used ones still fetch a good price, as do the Challengers.

    4 door mopar cars

Here is my 69 Dart Custom, lifetime Phoenix car, and has been in my heated garage since October 2006. It is a 273 V8 Auto with factory A/C and P.S. It came stock original with 340 bars, HD radiator, 5.5 rims and E70-14 tires. the blue Mopar book shows all V8 Factory A/C Darts...

What cars did you pass on buying in the 60s/70s because they cost too much

In 1975 my stupid sister was losing her lime green 71 gran coupe barracuda convertible to the bank. she owed $563.00 I didn't have the money of course. Then, while in Houston in 1987 a guy was selling his black 69 superbee Hemi, 40k actual miles bought new by him, $6500.00 I had just sold my...

4-Door with 340 from the factory?

it wasn't just a lid and decal, the carb was thermo, and manifolds were dual exhaust..Keep in mind this was a brand new car.so why would the car have that? nobody cared about high performance setups by then, not the dealer, and certainly not in a Cordoba.

4-Door with 340 from the factory?

This is onlyan interesting story, but in 1975 My brother rented a 75 Cordoba for a week in Phoenix, and when he went to check the oil at the station the air cleaner said 340. and, in the late 80's I also owned a 74 charger 440 magnum with a forged crank. 71 block, but it was a numbers...

    71 duster at mecum

In 1992 I owned a 70 dart 340 with the three on the floor,,, I wanted to sell it to a friend of mine, but he said I made it up, as all 340's were four speeds, so he didn't buy the car. In 2017 I reminded him that he said that, and he acknowledged that he had to be the dumbest guy on the planet...

    71 duster at mecum

I own both numbers matching and non numbers matching,, and the cars don't know the difference. One fact is the numbers matching cars regardless of engine are more rare, as many lost the original. That to me is the only reason they are more desirable. And, As my wife says, they aren't worth...

The Charger and Coronet are correct colors, but the Demon is darker, and was originally light green. However, I Purchased it as it is now. I think the color is a Ford color., it is a dandy little Demon with 70k actual miles and slant six auto, with the original rubber floors and Paisley...
