'1968' ~ 'The Way Mopar Should Have Been'

I always thought the 340 should a been an option "across the board" for A-bodies, like the Hemi in the 66 (and later if ya knew who to ask) B-bodies. I bet Chrysler would have built you (for instance) a 340 4-speed Valiant 100 2 door sedan if you knew who to talk to and were willing to pay up...

    For Ugly Mopars Only

This gets my vote for ugliest Mopar ever. A rolling exhibit of everything that went wrong with car design in the last ~25 years. Say what you will about the '05 Charger sedan not being worthy of the Charger name; it's a HUGE improvement over these road lice.

Maybe the modern Dart is related to the real Darts?

X2. Modern cars ain't my cup o' tea, but it is well named. It's the low priced, compact Dodge, just like it was from '63-'76. If they always did that, the current Charger would be called Polara!

    WTF?! You gotta see this!

I like a an early 70's style standin' tall street freak; but yea, that one just doesn't sit right. Too high for the size of its tires, rear axle too far forward. It looks like it's hovering over its wheels and axles instead of riding on them. The green '65 Cuda in Revhendo's post has got the...

    Is this considered rude?

I actually love to brag about how much I paid for something- or I should say, how LITTLE I paid for it! Then go on to explain how the junkyards and swapmeets are full of trick stuff (if you know where to look) that can be cleaned up/rebuilt/adapted to look and work 90% as well as new stuff...

Anyone know of a good (older) Dodge pick-up forum?

Thanks, fellas. I'll check 'em out!

    Who is BS'ing who?

My Valiant ('65, stock 225, t-flite) can get over 24 MPG, no BS. Notice I said "can get". No way does it get that kind of mileage puttering around in traffic. I checked it on a trip where I mostly cruised at about 55mph on mostly flat terrain. I used yhe round trip figure to take wind...

Anyone know of a good (older) Dodge pick-up forum?

I know I could just google "Dodge Truck Forum", but I figured someone here might know of a good one. There's alot of 'em dedicated to the later trucks, but I'm lookin' for one that leans toward the '72-'93 generation. Mabey a new FABO spin off: "For D and W Series only";-)

Any oddball 340 cars out there? (sedans, etc)

We've all read about B-bodies built with Hemis that weren't supposed to be available. There are several '67 Belvederes and Satellites and at least a couple of non-Super Bee base model '68 Coronets. Anybody ever see an A body with a (factory) 340 it wasn't supposed to have? A Valiant or Dart...

70 Dart VS. 69 Dart VS. 71 DEMON

How come everybody automatically hates the the Duster/Demon? If I wanted a '71 Demon to build, and had access to a solid '76 Duster and a Dart/Demon front clip, that's what I'd do. As long as you don't try to sell it as something it's not, so what?

    Another Frankencar

Looks like at one time somebody took two cars (a '65 unibody and most of the rest of a '66) and made one. Probably just because that's what they had on hand, not trying to cheat anybody. Not much good for The resto crowd; but a good base for a street machine!

Any more "frankenstien" A bodies out there? (Varts, Daliants, etc.)

Hello! Been Readin' on here for a while, this is my first time postin'. I've got a few A bodies- A nice driver '65 Valiant 100 2 door sedan, a couple of future projects and parts cars and my current project- a '68 Dart 4 door with a '75 Valiant front clip, which leads me to the Subject of...
