    Dipstick holes in block....

If you know you have the right amount of oil in the engine just put the dipstick in a little at a time checking the level after each time till you get it on the full mark. Just make sure the car is on level ground.

    March pulley question??

I used a Proto tools bar type puller. A small 3 arm puller would also work. When I put the new one on I put a couple layers of masking tape over the end of the pulley and used a Craftsman hard plastic hammer. It still kinda mars up the pulley but the cover hides it. I put the water pump and...

will my rear end handle this?

If its a 489 I don't think you'll break it. A friend is running one in his Duster pulling the front wheels up 18" and carrying them almost to the 60' mark running 9.7 in the 1/4. If you don't have the weld on brace, then yes there is a good possibility you could break it.

    Emissions SB heads

I guess I should give more particulars. Don't need to drill all the way thru, 1/4" is more than enough and use never seize on the tap to catch shavings. I used 1/8" long set screws so you only need 2 good threads for them. For added security I center punched close to the edge of the hole after...

    Emissions SB heads

I had to run a 13/64" bit in my son's and tap them out to 1/4"-20. I didn't have the rocker arms on his yet, stuffed a rag in the intake ports in the head, just blew them out because both vaves were shut so the shaving had to come out the exhaust ports.

    Please Help!! Internal or external??

Do you know what year the motor is and is it the original crank? Did it come with a balancer and you're just going to buy a new one? Here is a picture of my motor showing the balancer. It has a forged crank.

I don't have a picture but when I rebuilt my son's 360 the gasket is the same diameter as the plate and only about 3/16" wide.
