360 harmonic balancer: the new 1 can't be right?

Hey Locomotion. One last question if you know ( and I really appreciate the help I get on this site ) Is the timing cover seal the same part number for the old and new style balancer? Of course Napa has a seal but it's in a gasket kit. Can't open the kit and then find out it's wrong seal (per...

360 harmonic balancer: the new 1 can't be right?

Thanks Locomotion and Swinger 340. I clearly do not have the right balancer. I'm going to order the one from Summit linked by Locomtion. And to those above who find it necessary to flame people, if you don't know what you are talking about you might might want to troll elsewhere. The...

360 harmonic balancer: the new 1 can't be right?

Obviously I left it in the plastic for the simple reason I do not think it is the right one and want to make sure I don't get any **** about returning it. I see there are some clever folks on here. It's kind of reminding me of a jeep forum I gave up on.

360 harmonic balancer: the new 1 can't be right?

Does the new balancer require a different seal on the timing cover? My front seal was not leaking but I'm thinking at this point I may as well pull off the timing cover and replace the seal before I put everything back together. I'm all ears if anybody wants to throw in their 2 cents.

360 harmonic balancer: the new 1 can't be right?

Okay. I've tried to figure this out myself but I'm finding conflicting information. Is this new balancer the correct replacement for my old one? the new one is missing the big chunk of cast metal on the front side, and there is a shield thingy missing on the back side as well. On the other...

    The Situation: 360 Water pump

That's from pulling off the upper radiator hose. Nothing was leaking, miraculously.

    The Situation: 360 Water pump

Got it all figured out I hope. Gonna go with a new set up from cvf racing. Should solve all my problems. http://www.cvfracing.com/chrysler-pulleys-s/43.htm. I'll post a pic when I get all put back together.

    The Situation: 360 Water pump

Good advice I'm sure. I think I'll look around on CL and see if I can find A 360 with everything on it, probably cheaper than trying to come up with all the pieces. Thanks.

    The Situation: 360 Water pump

Thanks Rumblefish. I thought I saw somewhere that I had to change timing cover. I think you just saved me a bunch of work. I'm gonna order a new water pump and see if it will bolt up to my timing cover. I already have a trick new alt bracket. The guy I bought the car from had the lower hose...

    The Situation: 360 Water pump

Yeah. That's what I'm thinking. I figured I would have issues with the power steering bracket, but I can get a new one. I hadn't considered the pulleys. Maybe I'll get lucky and some one will reply with exactly what I'm going to need.

    The Situation: 360 Water pump

Dealing with the previous owners cobbled up mess. I need to put a water pump on with the intake on the passenger side. I believe I need to change the pump, timing cover and damper? I know this problem has been discussed elsewhere but can't seem to find the thread.
