I had a comp cam custom grind crap out right before they started recommending the special oils .I was just using regular off the shelf oil I bought same cam but went with the howards lifter with the oil hole through it and run royal purple so far been good

i had same issue on a stock 318 that i swapped in a cam out of a blown up 340 i had .the valve was touching so lightly it was almost like a scratch on the pistons .i ended up just grinding some reliefs with just a small grinder . not the best way but ran fine after. good bluck

the combo i posted supposedly dynoed 477hp in a article of mopar muscle.i copied the build except i had 1.5 rockers they had 1.6. and i used gapeless rings they didnt. thanks also the motor they did had a xe268 in it previously and dynoed 392hp

i used a comp cam custom grind mm series that i really like 239/243 dur at .050 157/161 at.200 and .573/586 lift the cam was used in a build in mopar muscle oct 2002they dynoed 477 hp on a fairly stock bottom end .i havent had it to a track but it goes like stink and pulls hard to just about 7000rpm
